Working

As many of you already know, I do occasionally post ads on my blogs. I used to post them for Pay Per Post, as well as for PayU2Blog. Some time ago, due to a drop in my Page Rank, I found I wasn't getting any work from PPP, so I quit even checking there for any, and have been posting exclusively for PayU2Blog.

With PPP, I usually had to write posts exclusively about the product and my opinion on it, usually told to make it 'favorable' of course. With PayU2Blog, I do occasionally have to do that type of post, but usually am only required to post a link to the advertiser's web site, putting it in a minimum 60 word post. I like this better as I just have to write something that the word or phrase fits into, without an opinion required.

Recently, PayU2Blog decided that in order to continue working for them, all 'employees' must stop working for PPP and others like that. They also require us to remove links and tinyurls from past ads for these other companies from our blogs. Since I only do work for PU2B, I am fine with that first part, though it sure is a lot of work to go through back posts and do all this extra work. We can't label the posts as "Paid" or "Sponsored" or any words like that, we are just to post them as regular posts or we will no longer receive work, this not only a rule with PU2B, but also with PPP and likely other companies of this sort too. I made a label to put them under that has no words of this sort involved and does not use the company name as that is also against the rules. This is good for me as it makes these posts easier to find at a time like this.

With 2,182 posts done on this blog, as well as all the ones on Reba's Run, it's a lot to sort through to find the sponsored ones to make such changes, without, I might ad, removing the links from the PU2B ads I've done. So far, I've done 90 of them today. Not sure just how many more I have to get done here before heading over to Reba's, but think it's a fair bit yet.

Another requirement of continued 'employment' is to change the Discloser Policy as the original one was from PPP, though it has no link back to them or mention of them in any way. I started by making some small changes, then wiped it all out and used all my own words.

Lots of work.... and work I must do, so do it I will. I do enjoy doing the work for PayU2Blog, and I do find the money I earn is much needed in my life. It's not a huge amount, but does add up after some time, so is much appreciated.

I am posting this to all labels that hold old sponsored posts, even when the labels were still allowd to say they were sponsored. Kind of like 'capping them off'. Also to more current labels where I see fit to put them.

Payday Loans

I've been asked to write about my finance and credit experiences, to give my personal stories and experiences, so here I go.

Fortunately, I've always had a good credit rating. I see this as being a choice. You build a credit rating with a good solid foundation, and then you do your best to keep it that way. Making your bill payments on time, especially your loans and credit card payments is very important. Okay, I'm going to make a confession here... due to illness, I've too many times in the last year or two been late making my payments, so I guess my credit rating is not all it once was. So what do I plan to do about this? I plan to get back to making my payments on time or early, whatever it takes to do it.

I have a mortgage on my home and I have a few credit cards. So far, I've had no problems getting these type of things, and I plan on keeping it that way.

So, now you have my personal views and history regarding finances and credit. If you would like help getting a good credit rating, check out payday loans archive.

Phone Cards/Calling Cards

I've been reading about phone cards/calling cards. Just out of interest and curiosity, I checked to see what a calling card from the United States to Canada would cost. At the top of the page, it says:

Canada Calling Cards and Canada Phone Cards: Use these Canada calling cards to call from United States to Canada. Choose the cheapest card from 286 prepaid calling cards. With calling rates starting at 0.0¢/Minute, these Canada phone cards are a sure way to save money.

Then I looked down the page at several of the cards and saw that they can be purchased for as little as $1.99, though it doesn't say how many minutes you can talk for that kind of money. Any of my blogger friends in the states want to give me a call? LOL.

Check it out and see how much it would be to call your blogger friends in other countries.

Mortgages

Many times I've heard people wanting to pay off their mortgages. Myself, I don't worry at all about paying off mine. Everyone either pays rent or mortgage, and I am grateful that mine is a mortgage rather than rent. I am also grateful that I was able to put a fairly good sized down payment on my home, and that I bought one that wasn't terribly high priced. Why? Because this means I have a very small mortgage payment to make each month. It is, in fact, much less than people in this area pay for a small one bedroom apartment. People renting a bachelor suite likely pay more rent per month than I do on my mortgage.

Mortgages have been a part of my life for over 20 years now. In the fall of 1985 I bought my first home. The bank I was dealing with refused my application for a mortgage, not because I didn't have a good credit rating and in fact they told me it was a very good credit rating, but the house I wanted was just under 1000 square feet, and they had just changed their rules and wouldn't finance anything that small. I went to a Credit Union and got my mortgage with no problem. In the spring of 1990, I sold that house and lived in my van with my dog (D-O-G) and my 2 cats (Smoothedge and Sushi) for four months until I finally found this home. I went back to the same place I'd gotten my first mortgage and 17 1/2 years later I am still living in the same home, still paying the mortgage. My mortgage is up for renewal again soon, maybe this fall, or next. Hmmmm.... I know it was for 5 years, though I don't quite remember the year it was when last I signed it. I'll have to look into that.

Insurance

Every year, in the fall, I have house insurance. So long as you have a mortgage, you have to have house insurance, otherwise I don't know if I would have it or not. However, for now, it is a 'have to have', so I get it. I used to pay it all at once, though for the last several years I've paid it monthly. I'm not sure how long it's been that we could 'pay it on time' like this, but it makes my life a lot easier than having to try getting it all together to pay in one lump sum. Paying it in one lump sum is one of my goals, though. I also pay my truck insurance the same way, but I save and 'scrape' to get as much money together as possible so I can put it as one large payment, then finance the rest of it over the coming year. This way it isn't such a big payment to make every month. I guess in the long run it all works out the same as I still have to pay the same amount either way, though this just feels better to me as I go along. This year, due to paying off my credit card, I don't have as much saved up as I would like to, but at least it's something. Another insurance I have is on my utility trailer. The truck and trailer are both about to have their insurance run out this month. The truck has to be insured again, though the trailer will have to wait a little while this year.

Romance will be Great in 2008

I'm looking for some Romance in 2008! Of course, if you are a regular reader here, you already know this. You also will know that I did a list for Thursday 13 about what I am looking for in a man and in a relationship with the man, and you will know that I went out on a date recently. This is the first date I've gone on in many years. Well, at least the first 'real' date. I've gone for dinner with someone that said it was a date, but he also often said he only wanted to be friends, and he'd kiss me and hug me, then go away and I'd not hear from him in months. Then he'd come back and do it all over again. Then I invited him to my church for the Christmas Candle Lighting Service and he brought a date with him. NOT Romantic!! But that was in 2007. I left the year in the dust and him along with it.

This is 2008, and things will be great in 2008. Not only did I get to go on a date the other evening, but he brought me roses!! I told about this in a recent post, if you're interested. He seems to be a very nice man and we had an enjoyable evening. Today, Moe called to let me know he's thinking of me, and to suggest that one evening soon we go to a movie (rather romantic ). I said I like this idea. I met Moe through an online dating site, so maybe those things do work after all. I've heard of many couples that met online like this and ended up in happy love relationships.

If you are looking to meet that special someone and have some romance
and possibly some love this year, check out E-Harmony.

DaycareBear.ca

Over the last year or so, I've been hearing more and more about the lack of childcare services in our area. For me to hear to this, the problem must be pretty bad as I have no children, so am not 'in the know'. I've heard it over the TV news as well as people I know discussing the problem. So, how are parents to find good daycare services to look after their young children while the parents go to work?

Celebrating 2 years since their launch in January 2006, DaycareBear.ca could be your answer, if you need Daycare in Vancouver, or throughout Canada. This company has already helped thousands of parents in their search for available daycare openings in Canada, and helped the daycare centers to fill any openings they've had.

A Wish for 2008!

I think that romance is an important thing in everyones life, whether you are married or not and whether you admit it or not. Even if you are getting over a break-up, a little romance will help you feel better about yourself and your life, but please take it slowly and don't rush into anything.

I wish Romance For Everyone in 2008!

I want to start the year off right by having a date with a nice man. He doesn't have to be my 'right' man, just a nice one that I can talk, laugh and spend an enjoyable evening with. Someone who is good looking, and also intelligent so we can have a good, deep conversation over a nice dinner. Maybe we'd go out to a movie, then go for coffee/tea and discuss what each of us liked or disliked about the movie. You can't get to know each other while sitting in a dark theater watching a show on the screen, but you can by talking honestly afterwards. I want him to hold my coat while I put it on, to hold the doors for me, including buildings and vehicles, and to in general just treat me like a lady. I miss having this kind of treatment and I want it back.

I think that it is important to keep the romance in a relationship, i.e. marriage, if you want that relationship to be a happy one... if you want it to last. One way to do this would be the 10 second kiss. When your partner comes home, say from work, great him/her at the door and kiss for 10 full seconds. Yes, EVERY TIME... not just some days, not just when you feel like it, but every day. I think you would be surprised at how much it is enjoyed by both parties and how it keeps the romance alive and well.

Before we can truly love someone else, we must first truly love our self. This is vital in any relationship. You are valuable!! You are worth loving!! You are LOVABLE!! All my life I thought I was not lovable, not worth anyones time to love, and that even if they took the time to try loving me it wouldn't be possible, so they would fail. I even thought many times about removing myself from the Earth as a favor to certain family members, and to the world at large. Now I am so thankful that I never did follow through on those thoughts. I have made so many changes in my life and I now know that I am lovable and love-able, I am worth loving, and if someone took the time to get to know me, I would be easy to love. My Dad once gave me a paper that had a drawing of a cute little boy with his chin on his crossed forearms. The caption said: "I know I'm somebody, cuz God don't make no junk". I understand it more and at a deeper level now than I did all those years ago, and I know it to be true.

Now, finally, I think I am ready to start dating again after so many years of not doing so. I am ready to have romance come back into my life. I am ready to love and to be loved. It's not that others haven't loved me before, it's that at some deeper level, I didn't allow their love in. I had a big brick wall up that kept love out because I thought it would hurt too much if it got inside.

* Many people love me, friends and family members.
* I am lovable
* I am loving
* I am God's expression of Love
* I am ready to receive love into my life
* I am ready to receive the love mate that God has waiting to enter my life.

I wish you all a wonderful 2008, and may it be filled with love and romance.

Christmas Shopping

Most years I choose to make homemade gifts for my family members or friends that I exchange gifts with. The last 2 years my Christmas gifts included weaving, crocheting, and photography. At this time of night I don't quite remember the years before that, lol. This year, however, I've been way too busy with other things in my life to do any hand crafts, so, thanks to the money I make posting ads to my blog, I can purchase gifts instead.

I ordered some nice teas, The Republic of Teas, from Mo and his store The Wren's Nest. Unfortunately, they have not arrived yet. Monday is the last possible day that they could show up, as Tuesday is Christmas day. I have decided that I will have to buy some teas locally instead now... Celestial Seasonings teas are very nice, though not as great as the few teas I've tasted from The Republic of Teas. Also, they can buy the CS teas themselves, so nothing special, they both have more money than I do, lol. The ROT tea would be something special as it's not in our local stores.

I plan to give photographs I've taken, matted but not framed, to my brother Bernie & wife Karen, as well as to each of his 3 kids as they are all grown now. I'll also give a photo to sister Marcy & Randy, as I did last year, also matted but not framed. I will also give M (we often call Marcy M) some nice tea. I'm putting together a basket for Mom. It will include teas, crackers, chocolate, and other little bits and bites I see while I'm out shopping either tomorrow afternoon, or Monday afternoon.

I am happy to say that not only do I not have to use my credit cards to make these purchases, but also I have no need to apply for loans to get enough gifts to feel I've done good.

I guess I'd better check the stack of photos and mats I have here and see if I need to get any more in stock to fill my Christmas needs.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!

Health Care

In this day and age it has become vitally important to have a good health insurance policy. To pay the rising costs of medical care without help is simply impossible for the vast majority of people in todays society, especially in the case of an extended illness such as cancer or heart disease. If you live in the UK, you might want to check out BUPA Heartbeat. They offer you a choice of five different levels of health insurance coverage, so one is sure to be right for you and your family. They range from basic coverage for in-patient and surgical care, to extensive health plans. You might even find that you're covered for a pre-existing medical condition. I think it would be wise to check them out, and get a health insurance quote that fits your needs.

PayLoadz

There is now a company online that provides a service, helping you to sell your downloadable items. Do you write your own software, eBooks, manuals or articles? How about music, movies, forms, digital art, or other files? PayLoadz Downloable Goods eCommerce is an online, automated service that does the 'in between' work for you and your customers. Customers order and pay, then the product is automatically sent out to them. This system operates using PayPal's online payment system and Google Checkout. Why not check it out! This looks like an informative and interesting website to me. I wish I had something downloadable to sell.

Press Release:

New York, NY December 18, 2007 -- PayLoadz.com, a leading self-service digital content ecommerce platform, has released a new version of its content storage and fulfillment system to deliver downloadable content such as ebooks, music, videos, software, crafts, or any other file. This new platform provides unlimited file storage for sellers using its services without any increase in cost.

"I am very excited about latest version of our file delivery system," says Shannon Sofield, founder of PayLoadz. "Because of the repeat and impulse buying nature related to selling digital goods, the more products sellers have available, means more sales and revenue for our sellers. By providing them with as much storage as they need for their downloadable goods without increased cost, they can create more valuable content offerings."

The PayLoadz.com service now has a key competitive advantage with this new release as other companies attempting to enter this market niche are bound by their limited product inventory and file storage capabilities. The PayLoadz Free, Basic Service, gets a file storage increase from just 50MB to 1,000MB representing a twenty-fold increase. Higher level accounts feature Unlimited File Storage.

About PayLoadz
A New York, NY based company, PayLoadz is a long standing leader in the digital content and delivery sector. The privately-held company has over 60,000 registered user selling over 280,000 downloadable goods.

Web Hosting

With all the blogging for money, and a lot of people that do the blogging for money `thing`, a lot of people are moving from just blogging of free sites, to blogging also on their own domain. One of the first things it is important to do is research web hosting sites and see what choices you have. One of them is http://www.webhostingchoice.com, so sounds like a good place to start, or continue, your research on this subject.

I have got a blog on my own domain, though I`ve not done much with it. I wasn`t able to come even close to understanding how to use the blogging program. Over the last couple weeks, it`s like a cloud or fog has been raising up and leaving my brain, and it`s becoming easier to think straight, so I will soon be giving that program another look and see if I am now in better frame of mind to read, and to learn from that which I read.
