Guess what happened this afternoon! Lorraine called. She is new at The Centre, her son Al comes off and on Sundays, and is in my Science of Mind class each Tuesday. Al's sister (Diane? Debbie? some D name that I'm not recalling just now, so will call her D) and her husband are in the process of moving here from somewhere in Alberta. They were out about a month or so ago and came to church with Al. Nice people. They said they're moving out with all their animals, including dogs and horses. Anyway, so Lorraine called for one thing to ask why I wasn't at church today, and to ask if I'd consider parrot sitting for about 3 months. D has 2 parrots that she will bring out and needs looked after until they get totally moved out and settled in here. Lorraine will be keeping one of them, and me the other one. So I asked "what if I fall in love with the bird and don't want to give it back in 3 months?" and Lorraine said "so then you'll have yourself a parrot." Way cool!! So, I agreed to parrot sit for 3 months and possibly keep the parrot forever. She doesn't know what breed of parrot it is, but D will know all that and be able to tell me everything I need to know. It's friendly and will likely ride on my shoulder, named DW, says "DW pretty bird." I'm not sure just yet where I'm going to put the cage, sounds like it's a fairly big one, but know I will figure it out somehow.
Lorraine said DW is a male, that's what D was told and so that's what it is.... however, DW keeps making nests and laying eggs. I told her this is obviously a female, and D was told wrong. I don't think she really believed me, she thinks males can lay eggs too. NOT! Or at least, I've certainly never heard of any kind of male bird that laid eggs. Eggs are a female thing. So... if DW is going to be living with me past the 3 months, I guess I'll have to see if I can find her a male of her breed to fertilize those eggs. I wonder if anyone would like to loan out a male parrot for as long as all that takes, lol. But first things first... I don't know when DW will be arriving.

I thought
skate shoes were just for kids. Turns out I was wrong. They're also for men and women.
