Sunday April 13

Here I sit on Sunday afternoon, enjoying the warm weather. Usually I am in church Sunday mornings, and being the second Sunday of the month, it's Pot Luck Social. By now everyone has finished eating their lunch that I know will have been delicious, and most if not all have leaft the building. So.... what am I doing home, on my computer, sitting outside in my yard? Well, this morning I just couldn't quite bring myself to get out of bed. Not just my low back and hip area hurt, as is fairly normal at this time, but also between my shoulder blades and into my arms was hurting too. I realized that I just couldn't face getting out of bed, getting showered, dress, fed, loading me and Reba into the truck and driving us in to town... then dealing with being on my feet a good part of the morning during the service, and after the lunch, going to the dog park to walk Reba as I'd planned. I phoned Rev. Dale's place and his wife, our pianist, Hannah answered. I told her I wouldn't make it in and why. She was so understanding and wonderful, said she loves me and to take it easy. A few minutes later Dale called to ask a few questions, like did I get the program ready, etc. He was obviously relieved when I said yes, it was all done, lol. Today, my part is the service included presiding over the whole thing and being the congregational song leader. It was hard for me to not go do what I love doing, and to top it off, on pot luck day... but I did what I felt I needed to do for me. So far, no one else has signed up for Presider or any other positions next week, and I'm always song leader, so looks like I'll have these jobs again next week, just not the food to go with it, haha. Oh well... this is likely a good thing when you think of it. Last night I had cut up a bunch of vegetables and arranged them on a tray to take today.... also made a dip for them. Guess I'll be eating raw veggies for awhile here, and will take some to class on Tuesday night to share. Not only do I have all those, but lots that hadn't gotten chopped up, that were to be for me here. LOL. I've been wanting to eat more healthy... now I can. haha.

I don't know about you, but I am pretty sure I could use a foam mattress. With one of these maybe my body wouldn't get so sore any more, and maybe I'd wake feeling more rested.

sorry to hear you're having days like this but you did the best thing to stay in bed and take care of yourself, resting for a day.
