I have always loved wearing jewelry. At one time I usually wore 3-4 necklaces at the same time. For example, I had 4 necklaces with beautiful butterflies, they each were on silver chains of different lengths, so the butterflies all hung nicely displayed on my chest. Of course, I also wore blouses, shirts, that were lower cut necklines and the necklaces were well displayed for all to see.
I also wore a ring on each finger of both hands, yes, one of them was a butterfly too with an opal for it's body and another for it's head, gold wings and band. One Christmas a dear friend gave me a watch that was also a ring and I wore this on the thumb of my left hand. Then I stopped dancing and I gained a lot of weight, so the rings no longer fit, but still I have them stashed away.
Earrings? Pierced, of course. At one point I had 7 in each ear, but the 7th one, in the very top of the ear, would not heal on either side. Finally I gave up on it and took the earing out before bed that night. By morning it was all healed up. Obviously my body did not want that metal there. For a lot of years I had 6 earrings in each ear and I loved to wear matching rings starting large at the bottom, graduating up to the smallest at the top. Or studs graduating up in size in the same way. As the years passed, the top hole on the right ear gradually changed, moving the earring that once went straight through to being at a definite angle, the front of the earring moving further away from the earring below, while the back moved closer. Finally it started infecting on a regular basis and got to where I had to take it out. I also took the top earring out of the left ear too as it also gave me problems. So now I have 5 earrings in each ear and all seems to be well with them.
The man I used to call my second husband liked to say I was just like a crow... I loved anything shiny. LOL. How true. Almost 18 years later I still am 'just like a crow'.
