As many of you that read my blog know, I am a single woman. I sometimes think about joining an online dating site to have a look see at what kind of men are out there looking to meet a woman for a long term relationship. Today I went and had a look at FriendFinder.

FriendFinder is a user friendly site where it is free to join, and for under $10 US you can view and contact singles near you. For a bit more money, you can become a Silver or Gold Member. Silver & Gold members show up at the top of all search results and they can view unlimited profiles and photos, so of course this is the better way to go. I found it was basic and straight forward to sign up on this site, and to upload photos. The hardest part for me was to decide on a good user named to catch them men's attention.

When you meet someone online, it gives you the opportunity to learn many things about him/her and their interests in life before you actually step out and them, or not, as you choose. After reading their profile, you can talk more on the site, then through emails and the phone, all at your comfort and speed. This can be a lot safer and more comfortable than meeting someone out in the bars.
