At 11:30am, we arrived at the Tin-Wis Resort where the wedding guests would be staying (a few camped out on the beach) and where the wedding would be held at 3:00pm. Our rooms were not ready for us to check into yet so we went into Tofino (about 3 kilometers) to have lunch.
This photo does not do this sculpture justice. It is beautiful. An eagle sitting and one flying.
Two shots of a view I really liked in Tofino.
Once we got checked into the rooms this is what it was like to look out the patio doors.
Before we went into town for lunch I was in seeing Alana, the bride, and took some shots of her getting ready, then later I went back in and took some of her, her with brides maids, her with her mom, her with her mom & dad... all just before walking out the door and down to the beach to the ceremony. They turned out well though I'm not going to show them here. I also won't show all the wedding photos, haha. Just some "important" ones.
The official kiss
Bride and groom just returned from having the professional photos taken down on the beach. Alana got married in bare feet and by this time Terry had his shoes and socks off too.
The first dance as man and wife
It was a beautiful wedding and a great reception afterwards. The food was soooo good and the dance was a lot of fun.

Hey guess what? That shot of Tofino is where we used to park our trucks and got on the police boat to Ahousaht! It's the road going down to the WeighWest right?
Kai, I don't know if that is it or not, haha... on the way in I said something about wanting to take a photo of that gorgeous view with water and mountain, then on the way out Marcy stopped and let me out to go take some, and this is where she happened to stop. It is soooo cool that you recognize the spot!! So you had to boat in and not take your vehicle in to Ahousaht?
Yep - Ahousaht is on Flores Island. It's about a 45min boat ride from Tofino. We'd park our vehicles at the dock there and get on the police boat.
It was great when the weather was nice! (Very scary when it wasn't!)
I can well imagine that it would be beautiful on a nice day... and scary as all get out when the ocean is rough. A 45 minute boat ride can be either heaven or hell, lol. Did they have other vehicles over there for you to use, or is the place small enough to be able to walk everywhere?
