Trip to Vancouver Island - Day 3

Day 3, the morning after the wedding. Most went for an early breakfast in the dining room, but I stayed in bed for a while longer. I had had the best sleep for as long as I could remember, the bed was so comfortable and I actually woke up without pain, so I didn't want to move and ruin that, haha. When I did get up I visited outside for awhile then I went for breakfast, Nicole and Dustin were in the dining room eating theirs, and Mom came along for coffee with us.

Mom's corsage in it's box, and Mom holding it up so I could take the photo. When it was given to us the day before I put it in the fridge to keep it fresh until the wedding... then we all forgot about it, so it didn't get worn.

Terry and Molly.

Two shots from inside the dining room, looking out the windows at breakfast.

Driving down island we made a quick stop at another spot on Long Beach

We also did a quick drive around the town of Ucluelet before we headed back across the island

Our next stop was at this famous market. Do you see the goats on the roof? Remember, if you want a closer look click on the photo for a larger version.
There, now you can see the goats closer up. Mom and 2 babies living in a paradise of grass. I love goats and would think it totally awesome to have some living on my roof.

Now we wait... and wait... and wait at the ferry terminal.

Anne & her grands got to the ferry landing around 3pm and were apparently supposed to get on the 5 o'clock ferry back to the mainland. It didn't happen. We got there at 3:45. Marcy & Randy thought Mom & I should go in Anne's car as it looked like M&R would be waiting for the last ferry of the night, so we did and were happy to see M&R aboard too before we sailed on the 7 o'clock ferry. By the time we got to Anne's place it was close to 10pm and everyone but me headed straight to bed. I got on her computer and checked my emails and some blogs.

Oh, poor Kai... you must have loved your time living on Vancouver Island. It really is beautiful over there... and also beautiful where you live now. I didn't want to come home from my visit to the Kootenays, haha.

Foam - thanks... glad you like them.

Lisa - yes, it was an action packed weekend for sure. Time with my family can be good and it can be not so good. This time it was good. Only one "issue" with oldest sister and that worked out in the end.
