This is my first time participating in Manic Monday. Today's word is drift. Acceptable words: drift, drifts, drifter, drifted, drifting. The idea is to post "perhaps a photograph, a story, a joke, or a stream of consciousness paragraph inspired by the word. Be creative, and have fun with it." And thus inspired, I wrote this poem:
The Process of Thought
My mind
Adrift...
In a sea of thoughts.
Floating...
Here, then there.
Drifting...
Out of control.
Bumping...
Against this thought, then that.
Coming...
Finally to ground.
Landing...
On a specific idea.
Stabalizing...
No longer adrift.
Comfortable...
In the process of thought.
AAAAHHHHHHHHH this is agravating!!!! I can't get the stupid linky thinky to work here.
If you do Manic Monday meme, please leave me a comment so I can come to your blog and view yours.

Have a Manic Monday up
Nice poem!
I'm sorry you can't get Mr Linky working. You must follow his directions very, very carefully... perhaps print them, then go through one step at a time. I think you have to change your html in the template first - did you do that?
If you'd like you can email me and I'll try to go through it with you... it might be the blind leading though... I did it but was surprised it worked :)

lovely process of thought!
Awesome, Lyn. I checked it out and left a message there too.
Heather: Thanks, glad you like the poem. Thank you so much for offering to give what help you can with the Mr. Linky, but as you can likely see on the post, I figured it out. :o)
Lisa: Welcome to my blog. Thanks for the complement. I'm going to pop in to your blog and check it out too.
Great process of thought! Glad you made it home safe in the bad weather. We`ve had a lot a accidents our way too with all this winter mess.
Thanks for coming to visit :) I never used to wear gardening gloves either until I had a bad accident with a rose thorn. Tentenis shot, medicine and it still didn`t help the swelling. I finally tried a dry mustard and baking soda poultice after soaking it in epson salts all the time. That worked!

Hi Alice -
I haven't been visiting around, still in hibernation. Looks like you've been a busy lady lately.
Best for February.

No longer adrift.
Thank you for writing a poem inspired by Manic Monday: Drifting
and I'm glad you got the Mister Linky to work, too! Isn't it cool that Mr. Linky added a Manic Monday box just for us?!?
Thanks for participating in Manic Monday!

My goodness Alice. I miss a couple of day and all kinds of neat stories and changes come about. I liked your poem (or Manic Monday). I guess I will have to investigate further and find out what this "Manic Monday" is all about. Those snow sculptures were awesome. I envy people with talent. I can see things in my mind but somewhere between the mind and the hands there is a major short circuit. Behave yourself.
hey, your mind seems to work like mine! :)
Tea - Thanks much for the nice things you said in your comment. I can sure see why you would use gloves for gardening now... ouch!! I had to have a tetanus shot once after my throat was bitten by a rabbit. Also, there was a time a cat bit me and a finger swelled up so big and so fast it was unbelievable!! I had to go the the Dr. and he gave me meds, but I'd already had the tetanus shot so was okay there.
Madcap - thanks for dropping in. Good to see you're still alive, haha. I hope you're enjoying your hibernation, and look forward to your Spring when you rejoin us :o)
Morgen - Hi there. Thanks for dropping in and leaving me a note. Glad you liked the poem. I "had" to write something to fit the MM word. :o)
Tim - Hi there... how's our favorite Irish Idaho Potatohead? Good to see you. Ya, you can't stay away from my blog for long without getting behind, haha. I'm an "exciting woman" so ya gotta keep up... ROFL. I'm glad you liked my little poem :o) I've checked out Manic Monday and Wordless Wednesday and Thursday Thirteen on other blogs and it looked like fun to participate, and a good way to get others to come visit my blog. Yes, those snow carvings sure are something aren't they. Even the "worst" ones are better than I think I could do. I always go up with my Mom on the Sunday, the day of the judging, so have never actually seen the carving in progress. Maybe I'll go and watch some of that one time too... maybe next year. I think that would be very interesting... then go for the judging too.
Schaumi - you must have a very strange mind! :o)
