Brrrrr

Up until recently we were having an unusually warm and wonderful winter. Warmer than usual temperatures, less than normal snowfall... it almost didn't seem like winter at all and we even set a record for warm temperatures on at least one day in December. Now, in the middle of January, we have been hit by very cold temperatures accompanied by wind coming from the north.  Apparently this cold weather is being blown down from Alaska.... and I for one wish they'd stop sending this to us!!  With a high of -11.4°C and a current temperature of -19°C, I am looking forward to warmer times. The Environment Canada Weather Office online is forecasting temperatures on the plus side starting Saturday and I am really hoping their predictions are right.
