More about Reba

Things seem to be going well with Reba. She still has the open sore on her foot and still is favoring it somewhat, though she has high spirits and the sore does look a bit better than it did. Each morning I irrigate the wound with Colloidal Silver and try to distract her for a few moments, with food of course, so she will not lick the Silver off right away. It does not ever get to stay on long, but I look at it as a good day when it gets to stay more than 2.5 seconds or less.

I wonder if they have disability insurance for dogs, lol. With her foot like this she can't work as a guard dog or any thing else, and it would be really nice to have an extra income to pay for her food bill and other such expenses. Okay, I am just joking.

I am almost out of the raw meat I bought for her a few months back, so today I phoned and ordered another 100 pounds of it. I need to go there tomorrow to pick it up. It's about a 25-30 minute drive but worth it as I get the meat for $1 a pound if I get 100 pounds of it. She loves eating raw meat and it's so much healthier for her than that processed stuff I've always fed her, the bagged dog food we buy from the store. Being as healthy as she is I know she is better able to fight off whatever the problem is with her foot.

Hi Alice, How is Reba doing now???
Aren't there medicines that are specially formulated to keep her from licking/biting the affected part???
