I Am Grateful

This morning, Dan came over to do another piece of flooring. My loom room now has some laminate over the particle board. YAAAAAA!!! Oh, not the entire room, not yet, but it is started, and the hardest part is done now... the closet. It's a small coat closet, so was fiddly to get it done. Now the rest of the room will be straight through, although as he puts down a bit of flooring I will have to move things over onto that 'done' floor to make room for him to do the next part. My loom, a cupboard holding spinning/weaving paraphernalia, stuff like that mostly, though also one of my saddles & the stand it's on is in there too, and a chair, and... well, anyway that all has to be moved. The hard part of doing flooring when you're living in the home is having to move everything and do the floor bit by bit. I wish I could totally empty the room while it's being worked in.

Dan was working when I left for TOPS. He actually likes it if I'm not around when he works, haha. Anyway, at TOPS just about everyone gave valentines cards &/or gifts, and I felt a bit silly having not even thought about doing such a thing. Oh well, I'll keep it in mind for Easter or whatever the next little think is. It was a nice meeting, and I lost another 1/2 pound, so that makes 4 1/4 pounds lost to date since I first weighed in on January 15. Not bad at all, not big losses, but consistantly loosing anyway. I'll have to see if I can make it a bigger one next week, lol. After the meeting we all went out for lunch, as usual. With my current financial situation, thanks to vet bills and having gotten behind on household bills, I tend to take an apple or something along so I can just join the ladies for tea while they have lunch, or I eat something very small and cheap with my tea.

I stopped at the Thrift Store to donate some clothes & shoes I have been carrying in the truck for awhile now, wanting to drop them off. They had a $2 bag sale on there, so I got a bag of new clothes... 1 pair pants, 2 tops and 2 vests as well as some crocheted doilies. I really like the vests a lot, they'll go really well with my jeans. I only have 3 pairs of pants that fit and are in good enough condition to wear out of the house, so I really need new ones, and don't want to spend much on them as I am loosing weight. Actually, 2 of the 3 pair are already too big on me, the jeans I got for Christmas among them.

I came home and did some reading, fell asleep and got a much needed rest. I was going to go to Camera Club tonight, but decided I just didn't want to go out anywhere, so I stayed home. Watched Ugly Betty, and the 2 hour cross-over special of Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice. They started it last week, and will finish it off next week. It's a really great series of episodes. I taped ER, as I do each week, as it's on a different channel at the same time.

I am grateful for the food I eat each day
I am grateful for the gas in my truck to be able to go to TOPS and other places
I am grateful to be involved in the TOPS club, and to be releasing fat from my body
I am grateful to be improving my health
I am grateful to Dan for installing my laminate flooring
I am grateful for my TVs, both of them
I am grateful for my VCRs, both of them
I am grateful to have "new" clothes, I really do require them
I am grateful I gave away clothes that no longer need to be in my life, for someone else to put to good use
I am grateful for the fire now burning in my pellet stove, warming my home
I am grateful for the pretty new doilies I have to put under plant pots and such
I am grateful for music
I am grateful to be happy in my life now, I've come a long way, a journey that has not always been easy, and I have much to be grateful for
.
