<><><><><><><><><><><>Last week, I posted the first half of the alphabet, 13 things about me and my life... A to M. This week, I am posting the second half of the alphabet:
14 - N: Nightime is my best time of the day. I don't know why it is, but I've always had more energy and interest in life at night than in the earlier part of the day. From what Mom told me, even when I was a baby I always wanted to be awake at night and then sleep in the daytime. I wish I was different, I wish I was a morning person, but I'm not and though I've tried to change, it doesn't work.
15 - O: I totally loved reading Diana Gabaldon's book series, Outlander. This series tells the story of Jamie Fraser, a Scottish Highlander from the 18th century, and his time-traveling wife, Claire. The books in this series are: Outlander; Dragonfly In Amber; Voyager; Drums Of Autumn; The Fiery Cross (all of which I've read) and the latest book, A Breath Of Snow And Ashes (which I haven't read yet, and am looking forward to doing so). I rarely read fiction, and this series of books is well worth taking the time to read.
16 - P: I am expecting my new parrot to arrive any day now. I keep hearing that it will, anyway, haha. I will 'birdie sit' it for 3 months, then if I want to keep it I will, or I'll give it back to it's current owner. This gal has 2 parrots (she already gave the Cockatoo away), and one will go to her mom (Lorraine) and one to me. Lorraine has said I can take my pick between Rocko and DW. She doesn't know anything about what breeds of parrots these are, so I don't know what to expect. When the parrots arrive in town, I hope their current owner is with them so I can ask her lots of questions. (Guess I should make a list of questions to ask, rather than just going by memory.)
17 - Q: I like to ask questions. I think some people find this annoying, and even think I'm questioning their ability or their knowledge, though that's not what it's about for me. I like to learn and grow, and how can you do this without asking questions? You need to know the answers in order to make informed decisions, and you won't know the answers if you never ask the questions.
18 - R: Romance is something I dearly would love to have in my life... and romance is something that scares the "H E double toothpicks" out of me. Love (or romance) is so wonderful when you're in it... and so horrible when it goes away. I thing it's likely very much like drugs. A major high when your on it, and a major painful low when you have to go through withdrawal.
19 - S: Spirituality means a lot to me. I have very strong spiritual beliefs that I live by, and others that I am still working at living by, haha. I am making progress, spiritual growth, so am moving in the right direction. Since I got onto this spiritual pathway I walk, I have changed my life a lot... for the better. I am a much happier woman, and still improving daily.
20 - T: Watching television (TV) is something I do pretty much every day. There are several shows I enjoy and some that I don't like to have to miss, haha. Some of my favorite shows are: Desperate Housewives; Brothers & Sisters; NCIS; Boston Legal; Ugly Betty; Grey's Anatomy; ER.
I also very much enjoy being a Toastmaster. In 1997 I was awarded my CTM (Competent Toastmaster Award) which is now called the CC (Competent Communicator). After about 10 years away from the club, I returned and am now well on my way to earning my AC-B (Advanced Communicator - Bronze) and my CL (Competent Leader) awards.
21 - U: I believe in Unity, Oneness with Spirit/God/Universal Mind. That is, I believe that God is all there is, and is all knowing, all powerful and everywhere present. God is Life, Love, Light, Peace, Power, Beauty & Joy. I could go on and on about Unity and about the Universal Creative Energy, but that would take weeks and I'm not into that just now, haha.
22 - V: I would like to take far more vacations than I have to date. I enjoy going on trips to see new places, or places I've seen before and really liked. I also like to go visit friends and to meet new people. I think I need to win a lottery or some other way come into a big pot of money so I can go on vacation to somewhere special. I think this year my vacation could be putting a mattress in the back of my truck, taking Reba with me, pack up food and several books I want to read, then off to the mountains to park near a lake. Just sit there reading and fishing.
23 - W: Over the years, many people have told me I'm "weird". I take this to be a compliment. You see, to be weird, to me, is to be different that most other people, and I see this as a good thing. Mostly when I was old I'm weird, it was in bars when I was drinking a 'soft drink' and everyone else was getting 'bombed', and I was laughing and having more fun sober than they were drunk. Besides, we are all supposed to be individuals, and that I am.
24 - X: I have never played the xylophone (a musical instrument consisting of a graduated series of wooden bars, usually sounded by striking with small wooden hammers), nor do I know anyone who has. It does sound like it might be fun to play. I actually would really like to learn to play a drum, something like a bongo drum for example. I'm going to look into that. As a singer, it would be a good thing to add drumming as a new skill.
25 - Y: I like to yak (talk) to friends and to people I don't know. It's nice to be in contact with other people, so to yak on the phone or in person is a good thing. Lots of people like this part of my outgoing/extroverted personality, though some wish I just quit yakking and shut up. Gee, maybe blogging is a new form of yakking!!!
26 - Z: I have only been to a couple of zoos in my life and I loved seeing all the exotic animals there. In many ways, I guess I live in a zoo, haha. With all the animals I've had over the years that's not really a stretch. When I was raising and showing rabbits, it was under the rabbitry name of Gold 'N Glory Menagerie, and I think that my home is still more like a menagerie than a zoo, though some days....
More Ws for you...
I Wish you a Wonderful Weekend!!!

That was an awesome post.
Happy Thursday and GREAT Blog
Interesting list. My television experience is just "House"...then the rest of the time is sports.
My 13 this week is misnomers, can you think of any to add? Come by if you can.
An excellent and varied list there.
What a wonderful and unique TT. Like you, I love Vacations. I'm sort of neutral on zoos, though. And, I agree - how do you learn without asking questions?
Happy TT!
