The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. What do you do? Write Thirteen things about yourself, summarize your week in one entry, make it easy for other bloggers to get to know you on a weekly basis. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun!
Whoo Hoooo! It's been too long since my last Thursday 13 post. I've been too busy, and too tired to play many of the memes I enjoy. Tonight I am able to play along. I have decided to post 13 things I am grateful for this week.
1- I am grateful that I have time to play Thursday 13 this week.
2- I am grateful for all the visitors to my blog and for their kind comments.
3- I am grateful for the Okanagan Centre for Positive Living, my Spiritual Centre.
4- I am grateful for the book "A New Earth - Awakening to Your Life's Purpose" by Eckhart Tolle, and for the Oprah Book Club with Eckhart Tolle, doing an online study for people around the world.
5- I am grateful for the beautiful spring weather we've been having, changing the world around me.
6- I am grateful for the new life I see around me at this time of the year, like the baby lambs in the field just a few neighbors down from me.
7- I am grateful for the animals that share my home and my life with me: Reba (rottweiler); Grace Hawk (rabbit); Daisy, Sheri, Smudge, Charlie & Cherry (chinchillas); Lady Bird, Tom Tom & Jamie (budgie birds).
8- I am grateful for the 17 years I had with Shadow, my beloved cat.
9- I am grateful for my home. I've lived safely and comfortably here for 17 1/2 years.
10- I am grateful for my family members and for my friends.
11- I am grateful for my truck. I love driving it and it is a good, dependable vehicle that gets me safely up and down my driveway all winter (need 4x4 for that).
12- I am grateful for my health, and for knowing that my body is now being returned to its normal state - perfect health.
13- I am grateful for the spiritual growth I am experiencing now.
Every night before I go to bed, I write a page in my Gratitude Journal. I write of all the things I am feeling grateful for that evening. Sometimes it's "big" stuff, and sometimes "little" things, like I am grateful for my bed and the sleep I am about to have in it". I highly recommend that everyone keep/use a Gratitude Journal. It helps keep you focussed on the good in your life, and that is really important. What you put your attention on grows - pure and simple!!!
Are you doing any renovations in your home? A new kitchen? Maybe a nice new bathroom? Seems to me you might need to look at some bathroom vanities.
