As you know, if you follow my blog, I had some dates (first in years) recently. The one that brought me roses on our first date. I haven't heard from him in a couple weeks, since our last date, and had thought I might not hear from him again. I was actually feeling good about that. I very much enjoyed the dates, but had felt very uncomfortable about the fact that, when I had phoned him, he'd used the caller ID info to get my last name and find out my address, then drove by my home and checked it out after our first date. This was unknown to me until one evening when he was going to come out and I was going to give him my address and he said he already knew where I live, even described the place. Big warning flag went up, but I still gave him a chance. Now I heard from him again.... he wrote and asked me to be his valentine. Here is the letter I wrote back to him tonight.
Hi Ratu
I hope all is well with you and your family.
I really enjoyed our dates, though I have decided that we won't be having anymore. The reason for this is that I feel you disrespected me. One thing that is very important to me is that the man I get together with and I respect each other.
The first time you touched my breast, I asked you not to do that as I am not ready for it yet. That same night you tried it a second time and I 'removed' your hand. I think that should have given you the message that I meant what I said, that I am not ready for that kind of thing. Then, the last time we got together, after a very nice evening together, when you were leaving you went and grabbed my breast again before you went out the door. Not only was this not at all romantic, but it was disrespectful. Just that same evening I had told you that I wanted you to treat me the same as you would want a man to treat your daughter. If this is the way you would have her treated, or the way you would choose to treat me, then it tells me that as much as I've enjoyed our time together, you are not the man I am looking for.
I wish you the best and hope you find happiness. Take care, Moe, and thank you for the nice times we spent together.
Sincerely,
Alice
