November 3rd

It's 2:15am on the 4th, but for me it is still the 3rd. I have to be up early, so better get my butt to bed soon.

It was a busy day today. I was up at 9am, early for me as I go to bed very late, but had to call Al at 9am. Al is the president of the Board of Trustees for my Spiritual Centre. I lost my keys on Monday and have been using my spare set, but didn't have spares for the Centre, so had to borrow Al's. We agreed to meet at the Centre at 12noon. I did some things on the computer then got ready and off I went. I got there and was parking the truck when Al and his wife arrived. We agreed I should get another set of keys cut for the Centre as well as my house and truck... just in case, and that as soon as I did I would find my missing set.

I stayed at the Centre until about 4pm. I printed, cut, assembled 30 programs for tomorrow, prepared the basics I'll need for presiding over the service, and updated the membership list. I also tried to work on my Toastmasters speech, but realized the time and had to leave.

I went to Fishers and got new keys cut, cost me $11, then when I got into the truck with a hand full of loose keys I went to put them into my purse and guess what... yup, there was the missing set of keys. Yes, I had searched the purse and had taken things out to do so, so don't know how I didn't see them sooner. Actually, I'll tell you a story another time about my theory on this.

Then I went to Liquidation World to see if they still had some finch houses I had seen at another person's house that her budgie birds love going into, but they have none left. However, while there I got some other things, including a key chain for 50 some cents to put my new set of spare keys on, and some really nice plant pots on a great sale. They are glazed clay pots, white with large blue leaves on them. 2 sets of 3 came to under $6 with the taxes included. Tomorrow is the last day of this sale, so I think I'll go back and get 2 more sets at that price. I have lots of plants and can always use pots.

After that, I took Reba to the dog park for a nice walk, twice around. The second time around we walked with Debbie and her dogs Lucy and Amy, and it was dark when we got back to the gate at about 6:10pm. We agreed that it will be awful tomorrow when it's that dark an hour earlier as we turn the clocks back an hour tonight. So actually, it's not 2:31 right now, but 1:31. Still bad.

I then drove to Value Village, second hand super store, and did some looking around. Ended up buying a nice pinkish (dark pink kinda) blazer for $15 and it still has it's price tag on, so is brand new.

Drove through McDonald's drive thru and got 2 snack wraps and 2 baby cones. Reba got one of the cones and I got the other and the snack wraps.

Next I went to the Great Canadian Superstore and got dog food, cat litter, beef heart for the cat (Shadow), stuff to make a birthday cake for church tomorrow, and a few groceries for me. Then I drove to the water store and filled my 5 gallon jug with reverse osmosis water (I won't drink the water out of my taps).

Ahhhh.... finally home about 9:30pm. Had a bit of a rest sitting on the couch and checking my email and the TV to see what was happening in both those worlds.

I went out and fed the chickens, well, guess more like fed the mice, but the chickens will get a nice breakfast when they get up in the morning. Brought some of the stuff in from the truck, but still have to bring in the heavy things tomorrow (dog food, cat litter, water jug).

Fed the cat some beef heart and his milk (Half and Half cream). He is actually starting to feel like he's putting on a bit of meat on his bones, I noticed tonight that I can't feel his vertebra as clearly as before. This is a good thing as he is too skinny. There is always cat food in his dish and he catches mice, but still he is skinny, and at 16 1/2 years old I want him to put on a bit of weight, especially with winter coming on.

It was after 11 when I baked the cake, and I will ice it in the morning before I head off to church and another busy day.

I also got a bit of work done on my speech, but not much. I have to write this speech and practice it then deliver it at Toastmasters on Monday evening. This is bad to be doing it this late, but I just chose the manuals that I will be working out of, so now I'm writing a speech to one of the manuals. I'm not sure if that makes sense to you or not. I'll talk more about it another time.

Now I must go feed & water and give treats to 1 rabbit, 3 budgie birds, and 5 chinchillas, then let Reba back inside and give her a doggy cookie... then off to bed with Shadow, and with Reba on her cushion on the floor at the foot of my bed.

Note to self: Future things to blog about include:
- story of loosing and finding
- choosing TM manuals and speeches

Those pots for your plants sound really pretty. I need to get some bigger pots, because my house plants need transplanted badly. Unfortunately, I'm not real good at this sort of thing (no green thumb here), so keep your fingers crossed for me that I don't kill my poor plants!

Sounds like you had a very busy and hectic day! It also sounds like you are my type of person, with all those pets!
