Teeth or No Teeth

Today I was to go to my song rehearsal which I always love doing. When getting ready to go I realized I couldn't find my teeth. I have a upper plate and because it often hurts my mouth, I tend to take it out quite often. When I'm driving home I'll often take them out in the truck, or sitting here watching TV out they come and go onto the end table beside me. Sometimes they end up on the kitchen counter when I take dishes from the living room. Sometimes they'll be in a shirt pocket.... From what I can remember, last night when I got home from Toastmasters, I sat here shelling and eating peanuts, then remember taking the teeth out and putting them beside me. They had peanut bits all over them. I don't remember them after that, so think I must have left them here by the couch... not unusual at all. I've searched everywhere that they could or should be and have found not a single trace of them. At this point all I can think of is Reba. Reba loves peanuts, and she also loves chewing on bones. Teeth are hard, but they are far easier to break than bones, so would be easy for her to chew up and swallow. She's often 'stollen' peanuts and anything else she can reach and thinks would be good to eat. Did she eat my teeth? I don't know but think it very likely. I'll check out in the run tomorrow and see if I can find any evidence of them in her stools.

Thank God I still have my old plate, though it never was as good as the newer one. It always hurt my mouth and made sores, so I had to take it out even more than the newer one. Also, it doesn't look as good as the newer one. However, even though they are feeling very 'odd' in my mouth, they are better than no teeth at all. Until I win a lottery or something I can't see getting new teeth for some time. Through my disability pension they will get me teeth, but the soonest they'll get me new ones is 2009, unless I can find a way to get 'special authorization'. I will give it a day or two to see if my missing teeth turn up, or if I find evidence of them in Reba's stool, then will see if I can find any way to get them replaced. I think I will not admit to them that I have these old ones unless directly asked if I do. I will not lie to them about it, though I won't offer this info either as knowing I have the old ones will give them a reason not to get me new ones... even though they rub and cause open sores on my gums.

Did you look in the place where you found your passport?

LOL!! Just kidding!

I hope Reba didn't eat those teeth. I should be tossing more scooby snacks for her!
