Fido the Budgie Bird

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there was a bugie bird named Fido. Needless to say, Fido had a rather different 'birdinality' that most budgies. When given a dogs name it does tend to give you a different outlook on life.

When we are told we are useless, or a looser, or any of those other negative things, we start to believe them and then they become true for us. When we are told we are worthy, we are 'enough', then that is what becomes the truth for our experiences. This happened for Fido too.

This little bird learned to bark when ever anyone knocked on the doaor. One night, long after dark, a burglar arrived at the home of Fido and his human. He was quietly walking around the house, attempting to peek in the windows through the cracks in the curtains. Suddenly, Fido sensed that someone was outside and, like he'd been taught by the neighbors dog, he started to bark loudly. His human called out to him "Fido! What's the matter boy? Why are you barking? Who's out there?"

Fido had also learned to speak some human words, as most lone budgies do when worked with by their human companions. He said "Call 911... Call 911".

Hearing this barking and then the voices, the burglar got frightened and ran away down the alley behind the house.

How do I know this? I am the cat that was sitting on the window sill eying up that tasty wee morsel, planning a fine late night dinner party for one. Meowwwwww.

Did you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you? But when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window.
