Menopause A to Z

I was only 36 when I started having hot flashes. Not only was it uncomfortably hot and sweaty, but my deodorant didn't work properly all of a sudden and I could smell myself. I remember working as a canvasser, going door to door, not wanting to go inside anyones home and hoping they wouldn't notice how bad I smelled as I stood outside their door. Thankfully that passed. Now I'm 51 and though I've had a hysterectomy, I still have my ovaries, so still have to go through menopause.

Do you know what the menopause symptoms are? Would it help to read a web site or book that is geared towards women seeking real-world information about menopause from other women who have been there? How about an article recently written about the 35 symptoms of menopause.

It helps to read about menopause and to hear other women's stories. I came across a book last year put out by Our Bodies Ourselves that was all about menopause. It was great! There were actual women's stories in it, not just text book information tellnig me to eat soy and take hormones. I'm glad I sought out information because I certainly needed it!
