It's getting cooler :o(

I haven't checked the outside temperature here yet today, but inside it is cool. It's 16C = 61F, so I'm starting to think it's time to light the pellet stove and start having some heat in here. I am a bit stubborn this way, though, and don't like to start using the heat in the fall. I guess it's having to admit that summer is over and winter is soon to come.

It's been raining here for the last few days and that is good for the earth and the plants. It has, however, brought the temperature down drastically as well as it makes for dark, dull days. The forecast according to the weathernetwork.com is for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 15C this afternoon, P.O.P. 30%. Hopefully that means the rain will stop and it will get nice out. Also according the weathernetwork.com it is currently 9C outside, though it's often a degree or two warmer at my place than they say it is in town. So maybe I can wait until evening to light the stove, then turn it off when I go crawl in under my blankets tonight.

There is a discrepancy between forecasts on two web sites, not unusual, but this is a big one. The weathernetwork.com says Friday Sept. 28 will be a high of 12C, mainly cloudy, P.O.P. 30%. CHBC, the local TV station, says for the same day a high of 2C (10 degrees difference), with a mix of sun and cloud. They don't give the Percent Of Precipitation. I will try to remember to tell you next Friday what the weather is/was like, so which one was right. The rest of the days vary in difference too, but not such a big discrepancy.

Tomorrow is the official first day of fall.

That's right - today was the first day of Autumn. The temp has been dropping pretty quick here this week too.
