Your Vote Is Needed!!

The voting has begun!

It began yesterday and I just remembered it today, so I'm a day behind on voting. Voting takes place April 1 - 6. If you click on the above banner you will go to the poll where the voting is done. When there you will find a link to "All Votes In Their Entirety" and you are urged to click on it and go read all the quotes before voting. I did this and found that of the 57 quotes submitted, there are only 9 that I like and would vote for. I must admit that I read them all with as open a mind as I could (and I think I did fairly well at it), and the 2 quotes I submitted are among the 9 I liked.

I urge you all to go read the quotes and vote for your favorites. I also urge you to vote for mine, haha. I would really love to win this contest and receive a new template for my blog. And as much as I want that, I still want you to vote for the ones you truly do prefer and if that's mine then all the better. Each person can vote 2 times per day, so remember to go back and vote again for the duration of the voting.

The quotes I submitted are:

# 26 -

"A person's worth is contingent upon who he is, not upon what he does, or how much he has. The worth of a person, or a thing, or an idea, is in being, not in doing, not in having."

-- Alice Mary Hilton

# 39 -

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.

- Oprah Winfrey

So now go vote, then come on back and read more. :o)
Thank you for any votes you give for my entries.

I was just over reading Clairs garden and seen your comment on her blog and I want to see were your from.

I see your form the Okanagan Valley. I'm from the Kootenai Valley area in Idaho and I just live south of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

I have to say we do have pretty country.

I like driving over Salmo pass and riding rhe fairy across the kootenaey lake.
Anther town I though was interesting was Nasup. Not sure if I got it spelled right.

Like the picture you taken for water.

Stop by my blog sometime.

Hi Peppylady. Thanks for taking the shuttle over from Clairesgarden, lol. Yes, I am in the Okanagan Valley, near the northern end of it. Isn't it funny how things are spelled differently on the different sides of an imaginary line in the dirt.
US - Okanogan vs. Canada - Okanagan
US - Kootenai vs. Canada - Kootenay and I'm sure there are others as well. :o)

I've never been to Idaho, though think it would be a great trip. One day when I have money I'll make sure I go. I've only been to Washington State in the US, and haven't done a lot of traveling in Canada either, but was able to do a bit with my parents. With gas prices so high it's making for less chance than ever, though life goes on and surprises happen. If Kootenai Valley is anything like the Kootenays then it truly is beautiful, as is the Okanagan Valley.

I've not been over the Salmo pass, nor across the ferry on Kootenay Lake, though last fall I was at Ainsworth Hotsprings, just north of the ferry landing at Balfor. Mom & I stopped in Nakusp for dinner that evening and drove around the town a bit. I wasn't terribly impressed with it, but maybe would be if I was to look at it again, lol.

I'm glad you liked my "water" pictures. We crossed Upper Arrow Lake on the ferry that goes between Galina Bay and Shelter Bay. It's the longer of the two ferry rides across the Arrow Lakes and in my opinion is much more scenic than the other one that goes across Lower Arrow Lake at Fauquier, though that is also a very pretty trip.

I'm really looking forward to going to the Kootenays in May.
