Now that I have a scanner I can show some of the old pictures I have around here. When my great niece, Nicole, was 5 or 6 years old she wanted to ride her horse in parades. Of course, at that age she can't ride by herself, and besides, that wouldn't be as much fun as riding in a group. Soooo, her maternal grandmother, my friend Pat, and her Great Aunt Alice both agreed to ride in the parades with her. We rode in 2 per year for 2 years I believe it was.... 4 or 5 parades anyway. We took 1st prize most of the rides. Hey, that little girl riding her big horse was so cute, how could the judges pick anyone else.
This was in the IPE Parade in September 1996. It was the second time we did the IPE Parade and it was a cold rainy day so we had to wear jackets and such.
I'm not sure if this was the 1st or 2nd time we rode in the Stampede Parade (date on back of pic is faded away). This parade is always on the May long weekend at a big rodeo not far from where I live. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of all of us at this parade. Just this one that someone took of me on Whiplash. Isn't he gorgeous! I loved him so much and really miss having him in my life.

Alice I love these pictures!! good work with the scanner! Whiplash looks a fine big horse, I understand how much they can be missed. it must have been great having the family all riding in the parades.
