My Day

Very interesting day... included phone call from DJ (a gal friend from TOPS), chiropractic treatment (3rd in about a week), walk at the Dog Park, short visit from Dan on his way home from work, Sudoku puzzles (my Chiro even showed me a different way to do these, he's a Sudoku addict, haha), phone call with Tug, and a call from Chief White Buffalo Man Many Feathers giving me the name and phone number of a long time friend of his that he wants me to call and ask him any questions I want to about the Chief. I'm not sure why he wants this or what he wants me to ask/know, or why he doesn't just tell me himself. Hmmmm. I think it's because I asked him the other day when we were together if he has the same effect on all women as he does on me (I get totally 'twitterpated' when near him, hard to keep my hands and lips off him. He's never seemed to mind this and in fact often kisses me first and always seems to want to be near me when we're in the same room. I don't see us as a good match for a couple though, we are just too different in too many ways. I don't see him as my "right & perfect man", just as someone I have very strong feelings for.)

I decided to start working on the taming of the 4 'new' Cockatiels today. I took the food dishes out of the cage this morning and kept them out rather than refilling them and putting them back in. Later I held a dish of seeds in there and no go. This evening I held the dish in again and all 4 were happy to come eat from it even with me holding it and it meaning they had to come that close and trust me. I'll offer them food this way 2-3 times a day for the next couple days then will put the food in my hands and have them actually eat out of my hands. In time they will be tame and happy to come to me.

I am grateful for my friendship with DJ & her husband Rolland

I am grateful for my friendship with Tug

I am grateful for my friendship with Dan

I am grateful for Chief in my life in whatever way he is

I am grateful for the chiropractic treatment and that my neck is finally almost back to normal, no longer causing dizzy spells or being terribly sore.

I am grateful that I can finally look in the mirror and see a good looking woman looking back at me... it took a long time to see her/me as being beautiful.

I am grateful that I often even feel beautiful lately.

I am grateful for the bond between myself and some of my birds that like to sit on me, even flying to me to land and sit on me, or pecking at my food to have me 'pick me up', wanting me to pet them.

I am grateful that the other birds are going to be fairly easy to tame.

Now I'm off to bed before I fall asleep right he___zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzZZZ
