>>> I Am Grateful <<<

Another wonderful day has passed. Being Sunday, my day started off with going to The Centre for Spiritual Living. The job of presider has been changed, so instead of presiding over the service, I only got to give the announcements. I'm not terribly happy about this, but this is how both the ministers want it, with them doing more and us doing less, so that is the way it will be. I will get used to anything so long as it is for the betterment of our Centre, though I'm not yet convinced that this will be. Time will tell. After the service was Pot Luck Lunch, wonderful as always.

After leaving the Centre, I went and got a tea at McDonald's then off to the dog park. Reba and I had a wonderful afternoon there. We walked out to the first picnic table where I sat to drank my tea and read some of my book "Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting: The Astonishing Power of Feelings", by Lynn Grabhorn. It really is an incredible, life changing book that I highly recommend. I wish everyone would read it and use it to change their lives for the better, though I know not everyone is ready for that. I'm seriously thinking about getting one for Mom & my 4 siblings for Christmas gifts, then it's up to them if they want to read it or not. I hope they would, and that it would be passed on to their children. But I digress... back to the dog park and Reba. After awhile I walked on, then a ways further ended up sitting at another picnic table, talking to Margo, a woman I found to be most interesting. Of course, we met thanks to Reba running over there to visit her, lol. Then she & I, with Reba & Margo's son's dog, walked back to the parking lot and said goodbyes. She lives about an 8 hour drive north of here and often comes to visit her son that lives here. I hope we run into each other again in future.

I stopped at WalMart to get a jug of milk, then came home. I was feeling very tired, so laid down and read for a bit then fell asleep.

This evening I watched Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters, both great episodes. Every evening now, I go out late and take Lilly (the rooster - named before I got him & his 'wife' Speckles) out of the Chicken Tractor and put him into a cage in the shed. This is to muffle his crowing so as not to wake the neighbors at 5am each morning. I've been doing this since my closest neighbor phoned complaining about him. They are good neighbors, and so am I, so I want to be a 'responsible rooster owner' and muffle the noise.

+ I am grateful for a wonderful day.
+ I am grateful for the friendship & sharing at the Centre
+ I am grateful for Ray's comment about me getting thinner (love it when people notice this)
+ I am grateful nice hugs from many people, normal at the Centre
+ I am grateful 2 of Hannah's sons were able to visit her & come to the Centre today
+ I am grateful for the wonderful Pot Luck Lunch we all shared, great food, great people
+ I am grateful the book I am reading and all I am learning from it
+ I am grateful for the sunshine today
+ I am grateful for the nice walk Reba & I had
+ I am grateful Reba & I both got to 'visit' at the dog park with people & dogs
+ I am grateful Mewsic came to sleep with me last night. (Reba woke me wanting out about 2:40am, so I put her out and went back to bed. Mewsic is usually afraid to come in there with Reba in there as R chases M out)
+ I am grateful for all my wonderful critters... fur balls & feather heads.
+ I am grateful for the eggs I get from Speckles (my hen), and look forward to getting some more hens too.
+ I am grateful for laughter in my life. I love laughing and getting others to laugh too.
+ I am grateful for the Love & Peace I feel in my heart
+ I am grateful for my home
+ I am grateful for the wonderful view of the lake that I get to enjoy each day
+ I am grateful to be off to bed to read for awhile, then sleep through the night so I can enjoy another day tomorrow.

Thom: Yes, gotta love that. I am blessed with most of my days going wonderfully well. Wasn't always, though now that I know we create our own 'stuff', my life has changed greatly, and all for the better.

I put on a dress this morning that I haven't been able to wiggle into lately. It does feel good, doesn't it?
