Three Word Thursday
Each week, Quilly gives us three words to write into a story. This week's words are:
jussulent –adjective - Full of broth or soup;
tenebrous [ten-uh-bruhs] –adjective - dark; gloomy; obscure.;
ebullient [i-buhl-yuhnt, i-bool-] 1) overflowing with fervor, enthusiasm, or excitement; high-spirited: The award winner was in an ebullient mood at the dinner in her honor. 2) bubbling up like a boiling liquid.
Lily slowly woke up, opening her eyes and stretching. She looked at her clock, deciding that she'd best get up rather than rolling over for another 15 minutes. Throwing back the covers, she slid from her sleep number bed. "Good morning world!" she said out loud, "what a wonderful day this will be."
"Mew meow."
"Yes, Fluffy, and a good morning to you too. There's a good cat, now let's go get us some breakfast."
Lily was rarely ever in a tenebrous mood, it just wasn't the way she was made. It was her way to be ebullient. Oh, there was a time when things were dark, then she was introduced the metaphysical lifestyle she now chose to live. She had learned about her Oneness with her Creator as well as the power of positive thinking, and how what you think about creates the experiences in your life. She changed from starting the day with "Oh God, another morning!" (filled with dread) to "Thank you God for another morning." (filled with joy and gratitude). She had found that this was almost a garantee that the day would be so much better than her days had once been.
"Here's your kitty treat, Fluffy," she said to her cat as she dished out 4 suculent chicken flavored cat treats. "I've always wondered why they always make cat treats chicken or beef flavor, or even sea food. Why don't they make them mouse flavored, Fluffy? What do you think about that?"
Taking a large jussulent bowl from the fridge she set it onto the counter. "This will make a great lunch for me, Fluffy. Homemade soup is always better the next day." Then Lilly took the eggs from the fridge as well as the loaf of bread that had been behind the soup. Putting the bowl back in the fridge, she closed the door and turned back to the counter. "Poached eggs and toast make such a wonderful breakfast, especially when the egg is free range, laid by your own hen," Lily continued to talk to the cat. "There is no better way to start the day, my friend."

Lovely story, Alice. Don't forget to sign in to Mr. Linky.
Your new blog template startled me, but I like it. Very clean and "open".
Thanks much, Quilly. Didn't know you had it up already.
Ya, thought I'd do something different for a change. There's lots I like about it, and also things I don't like... so not sure I will keep it. We'll see.
You worked so much in around the words. You are one great writer.
Man, I'm hungry again. Great use of the words.
Your use of Quilly's words makes a poor dragon hungry.
I've considered the irony of no mouse flavored cat treats. That makes so much sense. But I sure wouldn't want to be the person who made sure that the flavor was accurate! LOL
Great story and like most here...I'm hungry also now :) Good work
