*** I Am Grateful ***

Today I did some work on choosing poems for tomorrow evening's performance, though I didn't finish the job. I got distracted with other things and just didn't get it done. I talked to a fellow who called in answer to my ad for volunteers, and to a woman who called about that too. Both sound very interested in working with us, especially the gal. Great stuff.

I wrote my Three Word Thursday post, and helped Reba with hers. I got around and read everyone else's posts and Reba did some though she still needs to go comment on 4 of them.

As some of you may remember, I've been having some problems with this laptop for awhile now. Could be lots worse, though any problems aren't good ones. The other day, I saw in the WalMart flyer an Acer laptop with 3GB RAM, 160GB hard drive. I had Dan (friend) go with me this evening as he knows WAY more about computers than I do. Turns out the WalMart in our city doesn't carry that kind. Great! And it was only $449. So, I had them call the store to the south of us about 45 minute drive, and yes, they had them in stock, so I talked Dan into going there, haha. So, $502.88 after taxes and I got myself a new laptop. Of course, not top of the line for that price, yet looks like it will be a good one for anything I need it to do. Before I can use it, though, I have to get Dan to put programs on it, like anti-virus protection, Firefox, Office, Photoshop... to name a few.

For the last few days I've had a runny nose, no sneezing or coughing or stuffiness... just runny nose. I woke up in the night with the feeling of water running from my nose and it's been running ever since. This evening I've been sneezing a wee bit and have had a little bit of stuffy feeling. All this seems very odd. I remember back in the day when I last had a cold (it literally has been many years since I had one), and this just doesn't seem like the way they start, so I don't know what's going on. I've never had alergy problems, except to smoke and this is not at all like that. When around smoke, especially cigarette smoke, my nose/sinuses swells shut and I have problems breathing as I am totally a nose breather. I am wondering if this could be such a thing as an alergy happening. Whatever it is, I look forward to it being history. I have no time for being sick, thank you very much.

This evening, even though Reba was sleeping close to my chair, Mewsic flew across the room and up onto my chair, then cuddled down beside me/half on me, and went to sleep. She's still here. I love it when she snuggles up with me and I can touch her all I want.

- I am grateful Dan went with me to look at the laptop and give me his oppinion on it.
- I am grateful Dan drove me all the way to the second WalMart (saved me coming home for my truck and driving myself as well as got his oppinion)

- I am grateful for this older laptop.
- I am grateful this one is still working.
- I am grateful Mewsic is here with me.
- I am grateful my body fights off colds and flus so I never have to have them.
- I am grateful I am healthy.
- I am grateful for cloth hankies.
- I am grateful good humor and laughter.
- I am grateful for the sound of a cats purrrrrr.
- I am grateful for the cute little faces that keep peeking out at me from the chinchilla cages as they wait for me to visit them and feed them their snacks.
- I am grateful to look up and see all my birds settled in for the night.
- I am grateful for 'good tired', which I am tonight... and soon I can be grateful for my bed, pillows, blankets.
