I spent most of today reading and studying.... the online course, Boundless Life Challenge, and the 'real time' course, The Passion Test. With all that time invested I still feel like I didn't really accomplish much. At one point, I laid down and read then napped. I only left the house once, to go feed the chickens. I did one load of laundry. I actually don't mind doing laundry, though I did hate going to laundromats 'back in the day' before I had my own washer/dryer. I would actually like to have a clothes line outside, and a little door in the wall of my laundry room so I could just open it and run the laundry out through the wall, just like a long time family friend used to have years ago.
A fellow phoned this morning about doing some volunteer work for the upcoming dinner/concert I am putting on at the Centre. The ad I placed in the local paper came out today. He's the only one that called. I had planned to phone some people from the Volunteer Bureau list, as well as call to 'touch base' with 2 gals I already interviewed who are supposedly going to work for me that night, and make sure they are still planning to do so... then I didn't get to that. I better do it tomorrow. I did email one gal from the VB list a few days ago, and have not heard back from her.
- I am grateful I got as much reading done as I did.
- I am grateful Mewsic spent much of the day with me as I sat here reading on my laptop.
- I am grateful I finally decided what to work on for the next 45 days with the Boundless Life Challenge.
- I am grateful I read some of The Passion Test and did some of the homework.
- I am grateful I read the Toastmasters manual project I will be doing a speech on this coming Tuesday.
- I am grateful I have some idea what my 8 - 10 minute speech will be about.
- I am grateful my ad came out in the paper.
- I am grateful I got the last volunteer I needed for next Friday.
