*** I Am Grateful ***

It was a wonderful day today.

As most Sundays, I went to the Centre for Spiritual Living for Sunday Service. This week, as some weeks, I was part of the service. I read a short writing from the Creative Thought magazine, and old one from 2005, this was written by Dr. Tom Johnson and was very inspirational. Next instead of the usual treatment (prayer) reading from Creative Thought or some other publication, I read the poem I wrote in December. Rev. Dale had challenged me to write a Spiritual Mind Treatment (a specific type of prayer) in the form of a poem. It took me a couple months to be inspired to do it, and then it happened. I read it to Hannah over the phone and emailed it to Dale. Hannah really liked it, as did Dale, and she asked for a signed copy which I was happy to give. A few weeks later she told me she'd been inspired by the poem and had written a 5 part harmony to go with it. Today, after I read this poem to the congregation, I told them what I just told you, then introduced the singers and Hannah. Hannah played keyboards while she, Rev. Sheila, Linda, Alara & Jim sang the 5 part harmony. I had wanted to video it, and caught up in the moment totally forgot to do so until it was too late. I know there will be another opportunity to do so, so will one day be able to share this with you. It was awesome!! I had tears in my eyes, and many people later told me they did too. I got a lot of wonderful feedback on my writing. I wish I could share at least the poem, though I will hold off with that for now. It is all going to be properly copywrited as a poem and as a song before I share it with anyone else. It was all a pretty incredible experience. Hannah is now talking about recording it and I think that is a grand idea. I am thinking it needs to go bigger, too. As I listened to them singing it, I thought that it needed to 'go bigger' and it come to me that it would be awesome to send it to Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith & Rickie Byars Beckwith, to sing with the Agape Choir. I don't know if they'd sing it, though for that thought to come into mind, I think it's something to follow up on. I shared this thought with Hannah and that is when she said she's planning on them recording it and wouldn't want to send it out until they do the recording. At this point I don't have a copy of the song, and would not want to send it out without Hannah being in full agreement to do so. However, I don't feel that the singers in our Centre have the talent to preform it properly, to do either my words or Hannah's music justice.

A long time friend who I haven't seen in ages, Suze, came to the Service this morning. She lives in a city about 45 minutes south of here. It was very nice to see her again, and though we were invited to go lunch with a bunch of people from the Centre, Suze wanted us to go alone, so we did. It gave us the opportunity to catch up on lots of stuff, and was a most enjoyable time. By the time I left there, it was nearly 4pm, so I came home to pick up a few things, and off I went to Mom's. She has a straw hat that she wants to wear to a Senior's event on Tuesday, so needed it made into an Easter Bonnet. I attached flowers and chicks to it. I guess I should have gone to the truck for my camera so I could take a pic of it... oh well. It turned out well.

Mom & I went to my sister's place for dinner. Nothing fancy, but very tasty and enjoyable. Marcy is a wonderful cook!! We had homemade soup with homemade biscuits, then for desert, mixed berries with freshly made (from scratch) pudding, and cake. Marcy really inherited the good cook gene from Mom, eldest sister Anne got a good helping of that gene too. Even brother Terry got some... and by the time I came along, it was all gone. However, I do make a mean peanut butter and banana sandwich, haha. Okay, so when I put my mind to it I can cook some things fairly well, though I must admit I don't enjoy cooking so don't have much interest in doin it, well or otherwise. Marcy loves to cook, so I guess that is what makes her so good at it.

Marcy & Randy's daughter Shannon, husband Brad, son Carter (10), daughter Kennedy (7) are out from Alberta for the long weekend, so it was nice to see them. After dinner, we watched a movie Kennedy loves, so Randy, Brad & Carter took off upstairs to watch TV or play on computer... they didn't want to watch the chick flick... Momma Mia. It was actually pretty good. I don't usually like musicals, but this was great.

After we left Marcy & Randy's place, we went back to Mom's where I finished off the Easter Bonnet I'd started earlier, and had a cup of tea. Then left there about 11pm for the drive home, about a 25 minute drive. The rain was coming down so hard it was incredible. Had to turn my wipers up to full speed and still they weren't keeping up really well. It's one of those nights when I was glad to get home, even though I love to drive.

- I am grateful the words of the poem "Knowing The Truth" came to/through me.
- I am grateful I shared 'my' poem with Hannah.
- I am grateful the poem inspired Hannah to write music to it.
- I am grateful I finally got to hear 'our' song.
- I am grateful for all the wonderful feedback and special hugs I got after the service.
- I am grateful to see Suze again and spend time with her.
- I am grateful that I was able to tell Suze about the book The Passion Test as I think it will help her a lot with what is happening in her life just now.
- I am grateful for all my friends and family
- I am grateful for the nice drive to Mom's and back.
- I am grateful for time with Mom.
- I am grateful I could do a 'service' for Mom and create her Easter Bonnet.
- I am grateful for time spent with Marcy & her family.
- I am grateful for the wonderful dinner we had this evening.
- I am grateful for the very nice lunch with Suze this afternoon.
- I am grateful for gas in the truck.
- I am grateful that with over 300,000K on the truck it still runs very well.
- I am grateful to be inside out of the rain now... warm and dry.
- I am grateful for my pellet stove that is running and warming my home.
- I am grateful for the text messages from Wendy this evening.
- I am grateful that I have so many things to be grateful for. I could write on and on... though I will quit for tonight.

I would have enjoyed hearing/seeing the video, but I am glad you are waiting.

Tell me, exactly what special tricks are you going to perform to copywrite your work? As a rule, once something is written, all you have to do is be able to prove it is yours and when you wrote it. Type the words out, put them in an envelope, date and seal the flap, and send it to yourself. Then keep it -- unopened with the delivery date stamp marked on the front. Proof that you had it first. Seal it well though, so the seal cannot be compromised, and so the date is in or under that seal. Do that before you do anything else -- like last month already!
