Today was fairly busy for me. Before I left home I did a few things, including the computer work for the Sunday Programs, and placing ads into the Community Calendar section of the local newspaper. In town, I picked up Lorraine and took her to the Centre with me where I printed out the programs and together we put them together. I drove Lorraine home, then went to Harold's. He is my hairdresser. For $12 (he put his price up from $10), I got a wonderful cut, the drawback of this is that he's a smoker as are most of his friends, two of whom were visiting him today, so the place was very thick with smoke. I am allergic to smoke, so this is not fun for me, and then I stink so badly after being there. One time I had to take off my top and put on a vest I had in the truck as I couldn't stand the smell. Today I was sure wishing I'd thought to pack a clean top to change into after leaving there. Of course, there's no way you can get that stink out of the hair until you wash it again, but even changing my top helps some. All clothes I wear on that day go straight into the wash when I get home. But enough complaining. I love his haircuts and his price, so I choose to keep going there when I could choose to go to a smokeless environment and pay $30 for a cut I may or may not like. And I like Harold, so it's always nice for a visit.
Next I went to Tim Horton's to grab some food. At Harold's I took my blood glucose reading and it was 4.1, very low, and I could feel it too, so I knew I had to get it up quickly so as I ordered tea & a sandwich and was asked if I'd like the doughnut to make it a meal, I said yes. I woofed that doughnut down first and that helped me to feel better as it brought up the blood sugar level. Not a good way to do it, of course, but.....
This evening was at the Centre in the first of 5 classes based on the book "The Passion Test", and WOW what a class. I really find it hard to understand why more people don't come to classes like this, but I guess they're not ready to make the changes and growth in their lives. Many are not happy, and yet don't come to learn how to change that and have a happy life. Anyway, there was Rev. Sheila, the facilitator, and 5 others including me. One is a gal I know from Toastmasters and I had told her about this class to which she already had the book but hadn't started to read yet. It was a really incredible class and I'm sure we will all benefit greatly from taking it. Well, that is if we 'do the work', and I'm sure we all will.
Also, I did some work on organization of the upcoming (Friday eve) Toastmasters Area 33 International Speech Contest, and some work on the organizing of Pasta Productions upcoming (April 24) Concert and Lasagna Dinner. I now have 4 people for sure, possibly one more, bringing home baked lasagna, but need enough to feed 60 people, so will need to confirm some more before then.
I just turned of the TV, tired of that racket!! I used to love having it on all the time, now after just a couple hours I've had enough... well, tonight anyway, haha.

- I am grateful for email as it allows me to do a lot of my organization for these events while sitting right here at my computer.
- I am grateful for so very many things that I don't have time to tell you about tonight. I have an early morning so must soon head to bed.
