After shutting the light off at about 3:30am, I was not happy to have the alarm go off and have to get out of bed at 8:30am, but knowing it was my own fault, I bucked up and did it. I did what I had to do, then headed out, made the 15 minute drive north to my TOPS meeting. Yup, lost another pound!! That's 8.25 gone since January 15, so I'm pretty happy about that. Feeling good and looking good too. Also had my measurements done today too and it showed a good amount of 'shrinkage' too, lol.
After the meeting, I didn't join the ladies for lunch. Instead I had packed a sandwich and some vegetable juice which I ate in the truck and did some reading from my new book "The Passion Test". Wow, it's a good one!! I also filled the gas tank in my truck.
At 1:20pm I was at my eye doctor appointment. My eyes are totally healthy at this point which is a real good thing. Diabetics often have eye problems, so I will have to have mine checked every year now, no more every 4 years as I've done up until now. As for my prescription, it has changed a small amount, my sight has actually gotten a small amount better, but it's not such a big change that I'd need new glasses at this point. That'll save me about $4-500. Finally a good bit of news for finances :o)
Next, a drive about 10 minutes further north to the small town where Mom lives. It was just before 3pm when I got there. We had a very nice visit. Mom had tried to have a nap, but was unable to get to sleep, so being the wonderful daughter I am, I had a nap for her :o) then we ate a wonderful dinner she'd cooked (love Mom's cooking). Then I removed AVG antivirus from her computer and downloaded/installed it again. Why? Because she was getting a message that it had expired and to get updates she'd have to pay... so I downloaded the free version again. My sister had the same thing on the computer in her office, and now in her home. We took a drive to the town about 15-20 minutes north-west of there, just to get McDonald's ice cream cones, and to drive around a bit. We both love going for drives. Shortly after we got back to Mom's I left to come home, that was about 7:50pm.
I got home about 8:20pm so missed the start of Ugly Betty, but got to enjoy the rest of it, Gray's Anatomy, and ER. I find it sad that we are seeing the last few episodes of ER, saying good-bye to all the current caracters and seeing bits of the former caracters. I've watched this show for a lot of years.
I even got to a couple blogs to read some Three Word Thursday stories... and I look forward to reading the rest of them starting tomorrow.
Now, I am going to feed all my critters and give each a bit of attention, then off to bed. Reba is outside for the last time tonight. When I let her back in I will give her a cookie, then as she's busy with that, grab Mewsic and head for bed. That's the only way to get Mewsic to sleep with me, get her in there without Reba seeing and scaring the poor cat.

Hooray for the weight-loss! That will help control your diabetes a lot, too!
Having your sandwich and reading in the trucks sounds wonderful. I'm so glad that Izzie's sickness is out now. And I couldn't help but think about the friends of the guy who got a face transplant. All from on line and I sat and wondered if that were me how many would show up? Granted he had been talking to them for years but it makes you wonder. I was really moved by that part of Grey's last night :) As usual I always so enjoy Alice what you are grateful for :)
How wonderful about your health and mother.
