Today the letter is J.
J is for Janet.
In 2003, my family went to Smithers, BC to celebrate Mom's 80th birthday, and to have a family reunion. My cousin Janet lives an hour or so further west from there in a small town with a lot of Native history & culture. On our last day there, we all drove out to Janet's home and had a Joyous visit there.
These photos are some of the many I took of Janet's beautiful gardens. It is truly incredible all the work she's done, and all the plants she has growing there. Many are plants I didn't think could grow that far north, and yet they flourish in Janet's yard. Unfortunately, just before Christmas, the house burned down. Thank God Janet's neighbor noticed and came running. All of her cats perished in the fire, while she and her dog just barely got out. Apparently she will have a new house built on this same property.

Nice garden series. We are no where near seeing blooms.
Gorgeous garden. I love gardens but not gardening.
Janet has green fingers! That's a lovely garden.
How terribly sad to lose all her cats in the fire... I'm glad she and the dog got out.
Are those recent photos? If so, Iam GREEN with envy! I have a photo of my first snowdrops, the piles of snow having just disappeared. (London, Ontario)
Spring is coming! Good reminder of things to come.
