I Am Grateful

Last night, by the time I got home I just didn't feel like doing anything on the computer, so I didn't. I watched ER on TV, then went to bed and read. A nice end to a great day. In the morning I went to my TOPS meeting in the town north of here, I had lost 1 1/2 pounds since last week. This makes a total of 4.25 pounds in February + 1.25 in the last half of January when I joined, for a total of 5 1/2 pounds lost to date. I'm feeling good about that. We went for lunch, as happens every Thursday. I actually had taken some veggies along with me, so munched on them and went to one of the thrift stores to check out the $2 bag sale that was on. Not a lot that I wanted there, but did manage to fill a bag, including getting Mom a pair of pink earrings (last week she was looking for some to replace some she'd lost). Then I went to join the ladies and have me some tea. That was the plan anyway, but I did end up ordering some food, just couldn't resist as the veggies hadn't 'filled the spot' and I was still hungry. I ate part of it then brought the rest home and ate it today. After lunch some of us went to the other thrift store, and they had a $2 bag sale on too, so cool. I ended up buying some new pants, 3 pair, and a pant and top outfit (Ezee Wear, real comfy and nice too). The pants I was wearing, my best pair, had gotten to where I can take them off and on without even undoing them, so it was time for smaller pants. My one pair of jeans are almost as bad in that they are too big and though I haven't tried yet, I may be able to take them on and off without undoing them too. The one pair of slacks were snug when I bought them, so it's great that they are too big now.

Then, it was off to the town further north where my Mom lives. We had a nice visit, and went for a drive to the next town where we did some grocery shopping and got a small ice cream cone each at McDonalds. Then back to Mom's where we cooked dinner, at it, watched some TV together. Not sure what time it was when I left for home, but it was after 9pm, I got home shortly before 10pm, just in time for ER.

Today I had a fairly laid back day at home, didn't do a lot but did get some house work done. This evening I went to The Centre and did the program for Sunday, and updated the Membership List, printing it out in preparation for the AGM on Sunday afternoon. If I had gotten in there earlier I could have gotten that all done in time to watch the Movie they showed (I think it is called Swing... or at least that's part of the title). I did catch the tail end of it and wish I'd seen the whole thing, it was good. I helped take down February decorations, then when everyone was out I locked up and came home.

What excellent things to be grateful for. Some I would have never thought of like my vehicle...but so true
