I Am Grateful

I am sitting here with my cup of Georgia Peach Rooibos tea, about to tell of my day and what I am grateful for today.

Dan came by this morning and finished the floor in the loom room. It looks so incredible, and feels great to have another room done. Three down and one to go! First the living room, then the kitchen, now the loom room... next is the 2nd bedroom/computer room/junk room (it's been many things since I had it built on), and then the hallway. The hall will be nothing compared to the 4 rooms, work wise. I have a lot of things in this house... too many if fact. Not just furniture, but a lot of junk that I don't know how to get rid of. I have to sort through it and get rid of what is no longer being used, or never again will be used, and that is a real challenge for me, especially where papers are concerned. Oh well, somehow I will get it done (I hope). In the meantime, it all has to be moved aside to do a bit of the floor, then moved again to do more floor. It's amazing that 3 rooms are now done. The fourth room is likely even a bigger job than the other 3 though, junk wise. A lot of things are in there like bags of sheep fleece for me to sort/wash/card/spin/ply/figure out what I'll do with it once it's yarn. Also the rabbit & chinchillas are in there now, all in cages, and the big computer desk that I want to get out into the living room, and an antique desk and an antique filing cabinet, and an antique dresser, etc. etc. etc. Oh, how I wish I was like others I know that can just keep their homes neat, tidy, de-cluttered with ease.

I did a bit of stuff around the house today, no where near what I'd planned and wanted to do, but some. Guess that's better than the nothing I do around here on many other days. I got my TOPS vest given to me the other day, so this evening I sewed on my name tag and 2 buttons I won last month for weight loss.

Got some reading done today, from the book I'm reading for the Book of the Month at the Centre. I need to practice reading it out loud before the service tomorrow so I can read it smoothly and well. This is the last time for this book as tomorrow after the service is the draw and the winner will take the book home. I have really been enjoying the book and wish I had more time to read it. With classes ongoing I've had other books I need to read too, as well as some about the GI Diet (need to know for diabetes) so have 5 or 6 books on the go right now... too many.

My computer was making a lot of noise earlier this evening, so I shut it down for a few hours. I had wanted to get over to visit several blogs and to read their posts for Wordzzle, but didn't make it. I will soon, though.
