I Am Grateful

This morning, Dan came by just after 8:30am. He moved the stove, I washed the floor underneath, then he went to work and laid more laminate. By the time I'd showered, dressed, etc., he was nearly finished for the day. After I left, he put away his saw & other tools, and cleaned up all the sawdust, etc. Made the place look real good for when I got home.

Today, after the service at The Okanagan Centre for Spiritual Living, I ran over to Tim Horton's and grabbed an Egg Salad sandwich, a Whole Grain Blueberry Muffin, and an extra large Blueberry White tea, one sugar, 2 milk (not cream). Then back to The Centre for a class based on the book "5 Gifts for an Abundant Life", facilitated by Rev. Sheila Tegart.

After the class, we had our Board Meeting. It was a very good meeting and i feel like we accomplished a lot. I also feel like I was heard. Being heard is, as I'm sure you are aware, a very important thing, and all too often I don't feel like I've really been heard... or even really listened to. Today I feel I was. I feel like I was actually listened to, supported, and that what I had to say was valued. I like this feeling. Andree, our treasurer, was unable to be there for the meeting, but she gave Rev. Dale her report to read at the meeting. In it she noted the amount I had brought in to the Centre with my Pasta Productions fund raiser event in November. $477 after expenses. She also expressed gratitude and was very supportive of me and the work I'd done, and more or less pointed out that the board should be more so too. I'm going to write her and thank her for this.

After the meeting ended, I went to WalMart and had my passport photos taken. Horrid photos, but from what I hear, all passport photos are. Actually, I rarely if ever actually like a photo of myself, they never look the same as I see myself in the mirror.

I am grateful for the spiritual and personal growth I know I have made/am making through the Centre.
I am grateful for my position on the Board of the Centre.
I am grateful I am a vital and important part of the growth of the Centre.
I am grateful I was heard, appreciated, valued today.
I am grateful that I feel the fact that I've been heard, appreciated, valued. (Having these things is of no use unless you actually feel them.)
I am grateful for what Andree said in her report, for the support she gave me.
I am grateful to be planning for the next Pasta Productions, knowing it is of great value to the support and growth of The Centre.
