On February 24, 2007, I adopted 3 new "kids". One, Smudge, was about 2 years old, though I'm not exactly sure of his age. The other 2, apparently his children, were Charlie Chinchilla & Cherry Chinchilla, and they were just a hair over 3 months old. They were sO adorable!! Actually, they still are, lol. Looking back in the archives I found baby pictures I'd taken of them, and if you follow the 2 links I put above, you will see those baby pics. One thing that dawned on me though is I haven't done much photographing of them as adults. I guess that's because the photos don't look good taken through the cage bars, and to let them out to take pics is crazy as they would run away to play and it's so hard to catch them again.
Today, at the vets office, as I sat in an examining room with Cherry sitting on the table, I couldn't help but wish I had my camera with me. I had both my digitals in the camera bag out in my truck, and not a one inside with me. Tomorrow if she is well enough for me to go pick up and bring home, I will take one of the cameras in my purse so I have it... just in case I get a chance to take some pics of her. Hey, maybe I can get her 'Doctor' or some of the 'nurses' to hold her for a photo shoot. That would be kinda cool.
I worked this evening in the living room and got it all ready for Dan to start on the floor tomorrow. He insisted I have it ready for him to just walk in and start on it, not have to start cleaning or moving things around. I assured him that was my plan and not to worry, it would be ready. And now it's ready. The only things to be moved are the TV (too big for me to move alone) and DW's parrot cage which I don't know where I'm going to move it to. I'll sleep on it and I'm sure I'll come up with something. I had planned to move a couple things in the loom room to make space for her cage, but with being at the vet all afternoon I didn't get that done.
Dan will be here at 8:30am to start the work. It's already after 2am. Guess I'd better finish up here and try to get some sleep.

Here's hoping that Cherry will be just fine and the cost won't be tremendous!
