"You can make your life into a grand ever-evolving work of art. The key is your thoughts, the wondrous invisible part of you that is your spiritual soul."
-- Dr. Wayne Dyer --
I believe that this is true. We do all create our lives and our life experiences by what we think about, by how we think. We do get to choose what we think, even when it seems we don't. Our thoughts, believe it or not, create our feelings, so for example, if you are angry, change what you are thinking and the anger will go away. If you feel worthless change your thoughts. Begin to think that you do have value and worth, and you will soon feel that you do and others will begin to see that you have value and worth. I know this to be true from personal experience. I used to think I had no value and the world would be better off without me in it. I changed those thoughts and now I know that I have great value. Was this easy? No. Did it happen over night? No. Do I feel good about me all the time now? Unfortunately, no, not yet though I am still working on this. It is a process of growth. It takes becoming aware of what/how you are thinking... then working at changing those thoughts. The sooner I realize what I am doing the better it is. Once I'm in a 'gray funk' or having a 'pitty party' it is much more difficult because now I have to change my thoughts and my feelings... not just the thoughts. Sometimes I just can't seem to change them. this is when I find it's best for me to go off and be alone to do the work (if I'm with others) and if I am home alone this is definitely time to get out and be with other people, to break the cycle and find a reason to feel happy about life.
When we look for the good in life we will find it. When we focus our attention on the crap in life it will get bigger. I choose to focus on the positive, good things in life, knowing that as I give those things my attention they grow in my life and they attract more wonderful, joyful experiences to keep them company, so to speak.
Choose to bee happy!!
