Heads Or Tails

Skittles is the hostess of Heads or Tails.
Check it out, and see more participants.

This week's theme/prompt is:
HEADS - Talk

Okay, let’s TALK here…

I’ve been really enjoying BRIDGING THE GAP, a photo challenge I’m currently hosting. This is a one week challenge (Saturday August 23rd to Sunday August 30th). We’ve been seeing some really beautiful photos of bridges around the world, complete with information on some of them, and a look at the country side where some of them are located. It’s fabulous!! (Check it out, haha. Just scroll on down and see the posts I’ve made so far… and the links to others blogs playing along.)

It’s turned out to be so much fun so far, and somewhat educational too, that I’m now contemplating the idea of turning it into a Weekly Photo Challenge!! (Peppylady said on her blog that it’s a weekly thing, and got me thinking, haha) So, one day per week people from around the world would do just what they are doing this week…. Post photos of bridges that they took themselves or are pictured in with the bridge, on it or in front of it or… Include some info on what you were doing at the time you took the photo, and/or about the bridge itself.

The idea behind this is that we are BRIDGING THE GAP between people all around the world. Getting to know each other through our words while showing photos of bridges in our part of the world and/or in places we’ve visited. Thinking ‘outside the box’ is encouraged. That helps us get to know you, too.

So folks… TALK to me here. Would you like to see this Photo Challenge become a Weekly thing? Would you like to play along this week or on a once-per-week basis? I’m thinking maybe on Saturday, though have not yet decided for sure. Nothing’s written in stone… yet.

TALK to me… give me your Fabulous Feedbacks!!

Those are definitely beautiful photos you took :) This is the first I've heard of Bridging The Gap. Happy HOT Day!

Okay, I'll do a Wordless Wednesday and also make it a Bridge photo. Cool idea. I'm more than positive that a once a week meme would be so much more productive than an every day photo challenge...tho I blog every day, it would soon get either over-whelming or boring to have 7 days of the same subject...I LOVE the idea of just once a week.

My HoT is posted just now. It's eclectic but it's all pretty 'down to earth'. Come on over if you can.

I am enjoying bridging the gap a great deal. I think it's a fun challenge or I wouldn't have been able to muster the energy for another challenge, but these challenges starting with Mellie's have been so much fun that I am glad that I have.

If you had a weekly challenge I'd enjoy visiting participants although I'm not sure if I'd have time to do it myself. I already do weekend snapshot and photohunt on Carver's Site . . ., photohunt on a parallel lives photoblog I'm one half of, and skywatch and wordless Wednesday on Carver Cards my separate photoblog. I work from home which gives me flexibility but I am a full time salaried employee so work does interfere with my blogging, ha. My daughter's grown up which does give me more time for the fun habit of blogging but at this point I'm sort of maxed out.

Sorry for the life history but thanks again for this fun challenge and those are my off the top of my head thoughts.

It sounds like a fun meme idea. Good luck with it. :)

Honestly... I'm not joining up for ANY more weekly's! I've dropped SkyWatch, Wordless Wednesday, and I will drop Thursday 13 as soon as I finish the alphabet. But a LOT of people LOVE weekly's and will do one (or more) EVERY day of the week.

I am enjoying doing one week challenges - but I'm going to take a week off after this one, even from them I think! (unless the next one is irresistable, of course!) LOL!

Looks like fun! I do have a thing for pictures of bridges. Very nice.

well, i wouldn't mind this becoming a weekly meme... and would be glad to participate at least occasionally.

I’ve enjoyed seeing Bridges others have shared … and once I get my photos organized might enjoy participating myself because I like the concept, but it seems that Saturdays are already quite busy with Camera Critters and Photo Hunters (not to mention a few other ‘photo’ memes) already.
Hugs and blessings,

I'm not sure I couldcome up with a new one every week though.
Maybe I would participate every once in a while, but I don't know if I wouldwant to do it EVERY week!
But don't missunderstand me, I am truly enjoying this weekly challenge, I am!
