Photo Hunters

Welcome to my post for this week's . The theme this week is "support".

The other day, Rev. Dale used my camera to take some shots of me, as I did of him. We are doing renovations on the new location of our Spiritual Centre and have been documenting it all along the way with photos of the space and of people working there.

These photos are of me doing some drywalling. I'm sanding the mudding I did a few days earlier. I give and receive support through The Centre... and in these photos I am relying on the support of the ladder I am on.

I've learned lots of stuff doing this job. One is that I am trusted to do a good job, even when I don't know what I'm doing (had never drywalled before). I've learned that just because someone gives me a sander to use for doing the sanding it doesn't mean this is the right way to do it. You just have to take a few high spots off and the sander takes too much off. I've learned to tape and to 'pre-mud' the larger gaps before taping them. I've learned that the small plastic putty knives I was given for the job don't do a good job, you need the proper tools, as with any other job or craft. I'm sure there are other things too, but that's good for now.

Speaking of support, a good form of support for your little ones would be one of these strollers.

I hope you are all giving all the support you can, and receiving all the support you need.

Blessings and good wishes to all!!
Happy Photo Hunting!

Great take on the theme. You are a lot more practical than I am. For me ladders are there to fall off of! Happy weekend

Whoa! A sander takes way too much off? Are they going to put any texture on the walls, or just leave them smooth?

Lots of tips here in your post. I don't think I'm up to all these works. :)

supportive ladder. Wow, I would have never in a million years thought of that. By the looks of things, it's hard work, but maybe some fun involved too?

My Photo Hunt is posted. Stop by if you can, would love to have you visit with me. Have a great weekend.

Good post! Loads of helpful tips, too. Long time ago I used to decorate in a voluntary capacity, but I never used more than a touch of filler, so what you're doing is totally new to me. Well done.

I am glad that you didn't fall down ! (what I would have probably) I am back from Italy with lots of pictures. Couldn't comment very much with only one hour Internet per day !

Decorating takes a lot of thought .. I think about it for a long time before I start - 6 to 12 months usually ..
