Off I went to Liquidation World to buy a blouse. I bought one in purple over a week ago, and wore it for the first time last Sunday. I got some very nice compliments on it, so decided to go back and buy one in white too. They are pretty blouses and are see through, looking nice worn over my naked body.... (hahaha... no, only joking) worn over some little summer tops I have with thin strips of elastic for straps over the shoulders... I have one in black, one in teal and one in dark green. I also ended up buying some other small items on incredible sales (80% off last ticketed price), including a very nice cell phone case for 20 cents, and 2 cans of Barq's root beer.
Next was to visit Harold, a friend who is a hair dresser and gives me great cuts in his home for only $10. Since the first time he cut my hair I haven't let anyone else touch it. He does a really good job of my naturally curly hair, so why mess with perfection, haha.
I went and paid my last payment on the clutch I had put in my truck a couple months ago, then went to Subway and picked up a tuna fish wrap with lots of veggies in it. Remembering I had 2 letters I needed to mail, I went across the street to the drug store that has a postal outlet in it and took care of that errand. While there, on my way out, I saw some beautiful red and pink stuffy dragons!!! Being a new Dragon Boat paddler, how could I resist buying one on sale for $4.99? He's so cute sitting here watching me type this post, haha. Then I met up with a gal I know and haven't seen in some time. We stopped and had a nice chat during which I said I want a treadmill, though I don't know how I'll fit it into my home, haha. She said that someone gave her a manual treadmill awhile back and she doesn't use it. Her daughter is coming out to visit this time next week and she's planning to ask if the daughter wants it. If not, she'll give it to me. I had been thinking electric, not manual, but hey... the price is right!! so keep your fingers crossed for me, okay.
From there I drove out to one of the lakes that our city boarders on. Not the one we usually do our Dragon Boat practices on, but the one where we will be having the races this weekend. All our practices have been on the small lake near my place in a 6-16 Dragon Boat. Tonight it was a much larger, cleaner and more beautiful lake and in a Dynasty Dragon Boat. These 2 styles of boats are very different from each other, and it will be the Dynasty that we are using for our races this coming weekend. After we finished, I climbed out of the boat in water up to my mid thigh and waded back out to water a bit deeper, then sank down into it... ahhhhhh. With my PFD (Personal Flotation Device) on, I floated on my back with the toes of my running shoes sticking up in the air, and used my paddle to paddle myself around a bit. It felt SOOOO good to be in that cool water after a hot workout, and I got some good laughs from other paddlers on my team. Haha.
Home to my critters by around 9:30pm, ate a bit, blogged and watched TV until 1:50am. I also did some writing to a prompt given on a writing group I belong to online. I'll share that with you tomorrow. Now I'm going to finish this off, feed critters, cover up Rocko so he'll shut up and go to sleep (Patagonian Conure parrot) and go get myself ready for bed.
Night night!!

Do you or someone you know have problems with zits (pimples)? If so, you may want to consider checking out some pimple cream and see if that can give some help and relief.
