Cleaning the Inbox!

In the past, I've shared with you that I am so far behind on my email reading that it is ridiculous. Over, sometime well over, 2000 unread emails in my inbox. I've also shared how I've been "fighting" the problem and trying to catch up and to keep up on the daily incoming mail. At one point I got the unread ones down to under 1800, and felt I was doing very well. Hey, getting rid of 400 or more of them was doing really good. A lot of them weren't read or deleted, though, but were moved into other files. Well, not the best way of dealing with them perhaps, but better than nothing. Wasn't it??

Today I took another and much bigger step!! I deleted everything from 2007!!! Now all that is in my inbox is from 2008. I got this computer in July of 2007, so nothing was on this computer from before then.... but is still on the desk top in the other room.

So now, this is the results of what I did today:

Inbox total: before I deleted emails from 2007 --- 3281 After the deleting was done--- 1705 (1576 deleted)
Unread: before I deleted emails from 2007 --- 1903 After the deleting was done--- 829 (1074 deleted)


That's a huge improvement!! and I have a lot more to get rid of. But not today as I'm out of time.
