The insurance ran off my truck at midnight last night, so it was illegal for me to drive it after midnight. My friend PatZ came out and picked me up at 11am, and drove me to my insurance broker at the VG Mall. I got the truck insured, and talked to the gal there about getting paperwork from the travel trailer I have. The trailer was given to me last fall, but without papers. At the time, I called the insurance company and they made it sound pretty easy and basic to get papers for it, so I grabbed the trailer. Now, the gal at the broker I go through made it sound very difficult and pricey to get them. So, at least for now, I think I shall leave it alone. This means I can't license and insure it, so can't take it off the property legally, gut I think I can still get use of it right here.
As you know if you read my blog, I've had a guy living it in for the winter, helping him out so he can get back on his feet. I think 4 months is about enough. He was supposed to do some fixing up of the trailer, and some yard work and basic maintenance stuff here. So far, not one little thing has been done. He still has not job and I don't even think he's done much if anything to look for one, and he hasn't lifted a finger to do anything around here. As soon as he pays me the money he owes me when he gets his welfare check next week, I'm going to tell him he has to find somewhere else to live. He is talking about going to Calgary to look for work and I really hope he does that as I'd rather he move out without me telling him he has to.
Once he is out of the trailer, I want to move it up closer to the house and move my saddles and other bits of tack out into it and call it my tack room, haha. I love having the saddles in the living room, but really, I do need to remove some of the clutter, and the saddles do take up a fair bit of room. The tack can be out there and there still will be room for a guest to sleep in there over night if ever I need a guest bed for company.
Before I can move the trailer up, I have to remove some fencing, and move some too. More on that in another post later.

Sounds like you're setting up a busy spring "to do" list for yourself.
