Feeling more inspired now

I'm back!!!

I know, most of you don't even know that I was gone, but I was. The last couple days I was very depressed and unable to do much other than sleep, eat peanut butter and jam sandwiches, and feed the critters. I think it was the 'One Week Anniversary' of Shadow's death that got to me.

This evening I went out to a movie at the Centre, and now am feeling oh so much better. The movie was "You Can Heal Your Life" - by Louise Hay (90 min) This movie gives penetrating insights into Louise Hays fascinating personal story and shows how her views on self-esteem, abundance and the metaphysical causes behind physical ailments. were developed. What a fantastic thing to watch!!! I highly recommend it, so if you get a chance to see this, grab that chance. I have read the book "You Can Heal Your Life" several times (it was given to me in April or May 1990) and truly has helped me to heal my life in many ways. Tonight the movie reminded me of much I had read in the book, and it was awesome to hear from many people who have used this teaching to make big changes in their lives. A lot of it is along the lines of "Change your thoughts, change your life" type of teaching. This totally fits in with the beliefs of my church, too. Also, if you get the chance to read the book, do so. Libraries likely carry it, though I think this is one that is more than worth the cost of buying it. A book like this needs to be reread often, and underlined/highlighted/notes in margins done to help make those life changes. I actually have 2 copies of this book, and 1 copy of another of her books (not going to the other room to look at the title just now, lol), as well as 1 copy of the "You Can Heal Your Life" workbook. Any book by Louise L. Hay would be well worth reading, I'm sure.

Another author I love to read is Joseph Murphy. I don't know if you can still get his books new, or if you can only get them second hand, as they were written quite some time ago, but they are packed full of wisdom.

It feels so wonderful to be feeling better now. I really don't like being depressed. I know that when I change my thoughts I change my feelings and therefore I change the experiences in my life. I've proven this many times. However, when depressed it can be a real challenge to change the thoughts and feelings. However, this time it was 2 days, and I've had times of depression that lasted for weeks and were a lot deeper and darker and more dangerous than this was. So, it is working.

I really have to start doing something about getting is shape. If you are like me, you may need exercise equipment. I sure could use some of these machines.
