Easter Sunday

I had a very nice Easter Sunday. It began when I went to church this morning. I actually went in early because I hadn't done up the Sunday Program yet, though I usually like to do it earlier in the week. So, by the time I got that ready, Rev. Dale, his wife Hannah, our pianist, and Marshall, our young sound tech had arrived and it was soon time for song warm up/practice. I am the Song Leader with Hannah on the piana, lol. After that there was the 15 minute guided meditation, then shortly after that, the service. Today I was the Presider, doing the announcements and introducing people on the program, including myself, haha. I am doing the 'Book of the Month' this month, so I read bits of it to the congregation to encourage them to buy tickets for the draw. So, the morning went by very well and fairly quickly.

After the usual 'social time', I stayed behind when everyone else left. I had some time to kill waiting for a friend to go walking her dog with me and my dog at the dog park. I disassembled all the programs and cleaned things up a bit, checked my emails, then left. Went for a sandwich at Subway, and got a pop. Actually, I got 2 bottles of Coke, though I only paid for one, lol. It was at a machine and I don't know why but the machine kicked out two bottles for me, so I took them both.... Universal abundant supply, lol.

Wendy wasn't able to come to the dog park after all, but we talked on the phone as I walked Reba, sure am glad I have free air time on weekends and evenings, haha. After the dog park I came home, via the store where I got some fresh fruit and veg.

Just over an hour later, Mom and sister Anne (up from the lower mainland area) came and picked me up, we went to White Spot for our Easter dinner. No point in anyone cooking for 3 of us as that's all that were here this year. Now I'm home with a chocolate Easter Bunny from Mom, a fire in the pellet stove, and a hot cup of tea as I sit under my laptop typing to you and watching a movie on TV.

So there.... that's my Easter Sunday. It was a great day. All that's missing is someone to cuddle up to... my wee cat died 2 1/2 weeks ago from kidney failure. He would've been 17 years old on April 28. Ah well, being Easter Sunday I'll just go get another cup of tea, the rest of the chocolate bunny, and on my way back I'll grab the real rabbit out of her cage and bring her over here to cuddle with me. I haven't figured out yet if that's a treat for her or if it's pure torture, haha.
