THE PURPOSE BEHIND THE THURSDAY THIRTEEN:

As my regular visitors know, I want a love relationship to come into my life. Following you will find 13 things that I think are important in a partner/relationship. They are not necessarily in a particular order of importance...
13- common goals
12- common interests
11- good hygiene... for both of us, lol. Bathing together could possibly fit in here ;o)
10- great sense of humor... he laughs a lot and makes me laugh even more than I do now
9- intelligent... he is intelligent and enjoys my intelligence
8- accepting... he accepts me as I am without trying to change me, and I do the same of him
9- spiritual... he is on the same spiritual path as I am, or very similar
8- healthy.... he is free of any substance that would destroy his health. I guess this might mean I'd have to give up pop (soda to some of you). I'm not addicted, but do enjoy a Coke or some other flavor a few times a week.
7- freedom in our togetherness... both are secure enough in the relationship to be happy apart, as well as together. Makes for greater enjoyment when we come back together at the end of the day.
6- respect... we each respect ourselves as well as each other
5- animals... he loves them as much as I do. I could not even consider a man that didn't love animals
4- inspiring... we each inspire each other to do more and be better. Not that we ask each other to change, just that there is something in each of us that wants to be 'more' for the other person
3- supportive... we are both supportive of each others dreams and desires
2- communication... we both feel safe to communicate openly with each other, and do this regularly (I don't necessarily see talking as communicating as we can talk a lot and never say much of anything. We talk, and we also communicate about all important things in our life together)
1- Trust

Ummm.. financial stability? (I just have nothing to add, you covered almost all of it) :-)
Your list is perfect, that's all you need to lead a happy life with ups and downs of course, it is exactly what made last our marriage since 38 years ! The only thing is your n° 13 we don't have any interest in commun besides the animals, lol !
