Considering how busy I am and how far behind I am on so much in my life, you'd think I'd know better than to waste my time playing silly computer games. You'd think that, but that's exactly what I did. Sometime Thursday I downloaded a game called "Dream Day First House". You choose a house that your 'friends' Jenny & Robert are buying, then you help them clean it up and decorate it. Each room is filled with 'stuff' and you get a list of things to find. Some aren't all that hard to find and some you really really have to search for. You get to use some hints if need be. When you find them all, you go on to the next room, and after the third room on to the attic to play a different game, then back to the rooms, etc. etc. etc. Well, I got hooked on it and couldn't stop playing. I didn't go to bed Thursday night, but played the game until 6am Friday morning. Went to bed and couldn't sleep as I kept seeing flashes of the game in my head, haha. Finally around 7am I drifted off and wasted a good part of the day sleeping. Good thing Don & Angel came knocking on my door and finally woke me up. Before long, though, I was back at the silly computer game and played the rest of the day and well into the night. I think it was around 1am when I finally finished my 4th house and said "that's it". I deleted the game. Haha.
I guess I just needed to do something 'mindless' for awhile. Well, on the other hand, it wasn't really mindless, this game really used the mind and the eyes. One game in the attic was matching cards, so you had to remember where the matching card was that you saw earlier. All this is timed too, by the way. So since it's not 'mindless' I guess it's just like I 'took a vacation'. I went away in my mind even though my butt was still parked right here on my couch.
It's a good thing I didn't have to call a professional mover like mover NYC to peel my butt off the couch and get it moving, lol.

its easy to let things like that 'pass the time' for you. good that you deleted it.
I just seem to be working all the time at the moment, at least I enjoy the horses part of that.
I do this with Spider Solitaire sometimes. But every once in awhile it's ok to check out for a bit and do something completely relaxing.
I think we all need to do something mindless from time to time. Playing simple games is that thing for me. Helps me clear head at that point when I fell I can't work anymore. Only catch is games can be very addictive.
