Quote of the Day, and some thoughts about it.

Anything else you're interested in is not going to happen if you can't breathe the air and drink the water. Don't sit this one out. Do something. You are by accident of fate alive at an absolutely critical moment in the history of our planet.

-- Carl Sagan --

I don't agree that it is by accident of fate that we are here on Earth at this point in time. I believe that it is part of God's plan for us to be where we are, when we are there. The Power that I call God is All Knowing, All Powerful and Everywhere Present at all times. God does not make mistakes and has no accidents. So, we are here, now, by design. Why? Because there is something for us to learn, and there are things for us to do. We are co-creators of this earth, creating our experiences by what we think about. By what we focus our thought energy and our emotions on.

If you say "I want money in my life. I want to be rich." and you always focus your mind on what good you have in your life, being grateful for the little things that you do have now, feeling rich, then money will begin to flow into your life in ways you never thought possible. On the other hand, if you say "I want money in my life. I want to be rich." then you focus your thoughts on what you don't have, you give power to lack, limitation, and poverty. You give your power, your thought energy to them and they are what will grow in your experience.

If we say "I want the earth to survive and be healthy" but we keep thinking "this earth is doomed", what do you think will be created into our experience? Then, if we change that and keep our thoughts focused on a beautiful, healthy earth, we will create that beautiful, healthy earth. I also believe, though, that we must do something too. So long as we say we want the healthy, beautiful earth, yet continue to litter and in various other ways abuse the earth, then our actions will out weigh our thought energy, because we do not believe in what we are saying we want to create.

I do what I can to reuse, reduce and recycle, as well as composting and such. I heat my home with pellets rather than with fossil fuels. Whatever I am able to do at this time, I do. I have to drive my truck to town, there is no other way at this time, but that does not mean I have to go to town each and every day, or 2+ times a day. I do what I can to arrange appointments and such to all be done on a day when I do go in for something else. So far it's not a lot, but it is a start and even a start is better than nothing. Even this much shows the God Mind that I have intentions to see the earth regain its health and maintain its beauty.

If you, like me, still must have a vehicle on the road, one of the expenses you are faced with is insuring that vehicle. Here we don't have choices of who to insure with, as the government owns the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), so if you live in this province of our country, you must insure through them. However, for the rest of you that have the freedom of choice, check out this website for your auto insurance quote.
