Today was better and more productive than yesterday was. I actually got some stuff done around this place. Just a drop in the ocean compared to what needs doing here, but hey, it's a step in the right direction.
I washed dishes, swept the kitchen floor, cleaned all the chinchilla cages, moved Cherry into Daisy's old cage, moved Charlie into a bird cage that I can't use for budgies as the bars are too far apart, but it will work for a chinchilla cage for now. I need to find some boards to use as shelves in there for Charlie to climb and sit on. He'll love that. Bathed all the chinchillas (no big deal, just give each one a small amount of bath dust and they do the rest.) Vacuumed around the chin cages. Washed out a large plastic jar that was given to me, originally had Milk Bone dog treats in it, and put alfalfa cubes into it. Trying to get all the alfalfa cubes out of the bag into other containers that will look better than a huge feed bag sitting in my living room.
I worked on the speech that I am scheduled to give at Toastmasters on Monday evening. I am doubting how well this is going to go off. I'm just not remembering what I want to say next. Scary.
Tomorrow I have to work on the speech a lot more... have to do loads of homework for the course I'm taking on Tuesday evenings, and have to practice singing for church on Sunday. I also have to find an "Inspiration" to read in church for this Sunday. So tomorrow will be busy. I want to also keep doing some cleaning here as I don't want to stop the momentum... I might not be able to get it going again for some time once it stops.
All chickens are present and accounted for this evening, but still no eggs. Next nice day we have I, if I can fit it in, will butcher them all. I don't want to do it, but.... Lois Grebowski has offered to send some "chicken laying eggs" mojo to me. I appreciate this and hope it helps. Send lots. LOL.
To answer a question from my friend Claire from Claire's Garden in Scotland, no sign of snow yet, and none in the forecast for the next few days. There is, of course, snow up on the mountains, at the sky hills, but not down here in the valley. It will be here all too soon, though.
I'm starting to fall asleep here, so better get the last of my stuff done and off to bed. It's now 2:22am and I've been playing around instead of staying here to write this. See you all soon.
