November 12th

Today I didn't get a lot done. I felt like crap, headache and such, so I spent some time napping. Feel much better for it, too.

I had planned to go visit Mom today, we were going to go out for a nice drive and then for dinner, but we ended up canceling our plans due to the weather. With the headache I was just as glad as it meant I could go lay down, but at the same time it was a disappointment as I was looking forward to it. It's been awhile since I last was up to visit Mom. See my weather report for more on this.

I did Manic Monday... and helped Reba with Dog-ic Monday.

I did a bit of reading from The Power of Decision by Raymond Charles Barker. Not only have I read this book before, but years ago I took a workshop based on the book. Starting tomorrow evening, I'm taking another 8 week workshop on this book with a different facilitator. I know it will be awesome, and I will do some more growing. I started to read some of my Toastmaster manuals too, to decide which project I will use for my upcoming speeches, but fell asleep before I got very far, haha.

I watched some TV, including Dancing With The Stars. I also helped Reba with several more posts to her blog.

I was going to put my budgies into the 'new' cages I got for them over Freecycle, but when I thought about it I didn't do it. The cages they are in have bars 3/8" apart, and the 'new' cages have bars 5/8" apart. Only 2/8" (1/4") further, but that could be enough to be dangerous to the birds. They can get their heads through, but not bodies, and could end up injured or dead. I even emailed a friend who knows more about birds that I do and she agreed that this would not be a good thing to do. So the budgies stay in the cages they are in for now. Not too small, but I wanted to give them bigger. And I have 2 cages that won't work for them. I'm going to use one for one of my chinchillas, but not sure what I'll do with the other one yet. Either hope for a free bird of a larger size, or give it away on Freecycle. Don't need an empty cage hanging around. For that matter, don't need another animal either, hahaha.

Well, speaking of animals, I think I best go take care of the ones I have.

Later,
Ali-gator
