Yadda Yadda....

This morning I had a test done to find out why I have problems with acid reflux. I've already had a barium x-ray done (had to drink chalky barium so they could see inside me) which showed nothing, then ultra sound on all my other "innards" to make sure none of them were causing the problem. So today, after months of waiting, I went in for a Gastroscopy (they put a camera down and check out the throat, stomach, and upper small intestine). Truly, the worst part of it all was getting the IV needle into my hand. That hurt. They sprayed some yucky tasting stuff on the back of my throat to numb it, then gave me drugs to relax me. The last thing I remember was the Dr. holding the camera and walking towards me. Good drugs, haha. Then they woke me up awhile later. I don't remember getting dressed (taking off gown and putting shirt back on), or putting my teeth back in my mouth, or glasses on, but I had to walk to the waiting room and wait for my friend Dan to come get me. The nurse had phoned him that I was ready and told him he had to come inside and get me, they wouldn't let me meet him outside, lol. I was sleeping in the chair when he got there, likely not long later, haha. He drove me home, bought us some pop on the way for which I was glad as I'd had nothing to eat or drink since midnight andit was somewhere close to noon by this time. Dan didn't even get out of the car to come in, just dropped me at the top of my driveway and told me to go in to bed, haha. I guess it might have been different if I had gone to sleep earlier last night. It was about 5:40am when I shut out the light and I had the alarm set for 8:30am.

Tonight was the last class of the incredibly wonderful prosperity class I've been taking for the past 7 weeks. I had planned to go to it, I love going and would not choose to miss even one of them. After sleeping most of the day away, Mom called me about 5:30pm to see how I was doing (yes, woke me up). I got up but felt "ruff" and continued to feel so for quite some time. Now, at nearly 10pm, I am feeling ever so much better. Feeling ready to dress and head out to class... 3 hours late. I didn't feel I could safely drive to town to go to the class, nor would I have been able to absorb all of what would be happening. Not that I ever am able to absorb it all, but tonight would have been a lot worse. I will finish reading the last few pages of the book that I didn't get read yet, heehee, and I will do the exercises there. Just because the course is over does not mean my studies and work are over. This has been a life changing process and I am all for changing more of my life yet.
