As you likely know, many people thought July 7 this year (7/7/07) to be a very lucky day, and many couples chose to marry on that day.
I've decided to share with you 7 things about 7:

The Seven Sisters Mountain Range - the spectacular set of peaks is visible from Highway 16 between Hazelton and Terrace, BC Canada. In the fall, when the Skeena River is running low and slow it is possible to catch the reflection of this magnificent mountain range in one of the many back waters of the Skeena.

I was born in Smithers, BC and lived there until I was about 12 1/2 years old. I still have relatives living in Smithers which is a little east of Hazelton (about 1 hour, if I remember correctly), and my cousin Janet has a beautiful home and breath taking garden in Hazelton, BC. I was last up there in August of 2003.

SEVEN - Denotes spiritual perfection. It is the hall-mark of the Holy Spirit's work. He is the Author of God's Word, and seven is stamped on it as the water mark is seen in the manufacture of paper. He is the Author and Giver of life; and seven is the number which regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation, in insects, birds, animals, and man.

Seven has spiritual significance in Judaism, Islam, Christianity and Hinduism, and is considered lucky on musical, psychological and mythological levels. Seven is the number of orifices in the human face, the number of notes on a musical scale and the number of days it took God to create Earth in the Bible, as well as a common jackpot sequence on a slot machine.

7 – represents perfection, and is the sign of God, divine worship, completions, obedience, and rest. The “prince” of Bible numbers, it is used 562 times, including its derivatives (e.g., seventh, sevens). (See Genesis 2:1–4, Psalm 119:164, and Exodus 20:8–11 for just a few of the examples.)

The number seven is also the most common in biblical prophecy, occurring 42 times in Daniel and Revelation alone.
