Canada's 140th Birthday!!
To celebrate Canada Day this year, I printed out a bunch of maple leaves and cut them all out. First thing in the morning I will go a bit early to my Spiritual Centre
(the Okanagan Centre for Positive Living)
and I will decorate by putting the maple leaves up on the walls.
I also made a bunch of bookmarks with the Maple Leaf and the logo for the OK-CPL, with our contact information on them. Thanks to my suggestion in a recent board meeting, another board member has gotten us some flags and flag pins to pass out to people that come to church this week.
I also purchased 2 flags with Canada on them. I will put these on my truck, one on each side of the rack.
I am not always happy about or in agreement with things our governments do (provincial or federal), and yet I am still proud to be Canadian.
I put this post together will all these Canadian flags as a celebration of Canada Day. Have a look... there are some pretty cute ones, lol.
Thanks to AltaVista Images for all the above images.
Reba also has a tribute to Canada up on her blog and would be ever so happy to have you all drop over to visit... right after you leave a comment here :o)
Crazy Working Mom lives in the US, yet was a sweetheart and put up a post for Canada Day in response to this post. If anyone else has a Canada Day post up, let me know and I will link back to you too. I also saw a Canada Day post at Dragonheart's Domain when I was visiting there last night.
Another friend from "south of the border" that posted Canada Day good wishes on his blog is Travis over at Trav's Thoughts.
